This is the series Maximum Motorsports is pretty heavily involved in. AI is having events at Sears Point and in Reno this year, I'm gonna go to at least one to observe... apparently they have open pits so you can walk around and see everything. I'm thinking seriously about building the Mustang into a racecar for this series in 3-4 years when I have a garage and a truck/trailer to haul the car.

The Infineon and Reno dates correspond to NASA events, where they may also have HPDE track days. If so, instead of just observing, you can actually track your street car and be sitting side-by-side with the racers in the pits.

I would, but I'm not really comfortable taking my street car on an actual road course at speed in its current state of development. I like things like full rollcages, racing seats, 5/6-pt. harnesses, fire extinguisher, etc. for flat out track driving. I'll just take a camera along and get lots of pictures of the AI cars for ideas for my own car.

NASA American Iron Series and SCCA Camaro/Mustang Challenge series have their own forum at:

A lot of the guys actually racing AI cars are on this forum, they seem pretty cool and helpful.
