The seats in that car are a work of art. They should be in the louvre.

They're just Recaro recliners, there's nothing that special about them.

They're just Recaro recliners, there's nothing that special about them.- We have added special reclining Recaro front sport seats with gray Alcantara center surfaces to help keep driver and passenger firmly held in place during spirited driving. These seats are constructed with carbon fiber shells and therefore are lighter and stronger than the seats offered in the base STi.
I wish my stock car came with carbon fiber seats

Don't get me wrong - they're nice. Just not quite in the same company as Leonardo da Vinci.

Is this the 2.0L engine with the forged goodies? I wonder if we will ever see this or the Spec C STi in the US.

Actually it's yes and a distinct possibility. SOA's watching EVO MRs fly out of dealerships. Expect a US version of the Spec C with an EJ257 within a year.

Too bad. :( You can't get 300 hp out of 2 liters in this country because of emissions requirements.

Maybe not out of the factory, but with aftermarket parts, I think the ej207 spec c engine has more potential than the ej257 does.

Personally, I think the bigger engine is the better idea, because the design of the EJ series causes issues at very high RPM. No high revs, no advantage to the smaller engine. I'll take an 8k EJ25 over a 10k EJ20 anyday, especially considering the lack of proper gearing choices for such a high-rev engine.

There's no replacement for displacement.

There's no replacement for displacement.
Sure there is, it's forced induction and high RPMs when you're talking about race applications (see Formula 1). Unfortunately, Boxer motors aren't conducive to those conditions.

Apples to oranges if you're talking N/A vs. forced. All things being equal, the bigger engine is going to make more power.

Question??
Is this true without having to use race fuel/methanol?

Actually, more displacement helps you out by letting you run ower octane in most cases. If you take a given motor setup- NA, a given supercharger, a given turbo, the larger motor is going to make more torque at a lower RPM. It's particularly true of big NA motors like V8s, but not so much with turbocharged motors. Your limits of torque are determined solely by the size of the turbo and your fuel. Motor size only changes how fast it has to spin to flow the amount of air needed to make the torque the turbo supports.

If I were in the market for a $45-50k sports car, I'd have that at the top of the list.
And the production numbers are low for a reason, like hand assembly of the engine, etc. Not to mention the fact that the low production numbers mean the car will hardly depreciate at all, and probably eventually surpass its original value.

400hp, good brakes, fairly stiff chassis, a well tuned suspension and a low C.G. straight from the factory is pretty hard value to beat. 8)

You also just described the S203, with the exception of the fact you have to get 400 hp out of it with a little exhaust work and tuning. Back to apples and oranges. Plus, there's the rarity factor. It's like the "King Of The Hill" ZR1s. a C6 would run rings around one, but which one goes for $100k+? Anyways, C6s friggin rule. I wouldn't kick one out of bed for eating crackers. ;)
Edit: Besides, I'm a moderator for an import enthusiast bored and you work for a premier aftemarket domestic tuner... the world would cease to exist if we ever came to an absolute, no-holds-barred agreement when it came to cars. :P
