I saw some on a WRX and they looked pretty good RSGT's or something. Looked to be 18"ers. Are these considered crappy rims?

I like a few of the Arospeed rims, especially the RS-GT. I think the offsets are kind of low (45mm if I remember), but they'll still fit decent on a sedan. Might be close on a wagon though.

Those wheels would make your brakes look like beer coasters. I personally would consider them "rice" but hell, 99% of wheels are ricy to me anyway. I'd be more concerned about the low offset (those are Toyota wheels) and the spokes sticking way out = curb magnets.

The offset on those wheels makes them like gaint fan blades in a industrial fan.

Those are the same as Dean's winter wheels. Discount Tire sells them as the MB Motorsports Weapon. I believe Dean mentioned before that his even say A-tech in the casting or something. Under $400 shipped from DT with my hookup in 17X8, 17X7 is even less.

Do those come in a 5x114 in the 17x8? Any different offsets available like a 40 or lower?

I need to get some rims for my FC :D

With that PCD, 17X8 comes in 42mm or 28mm offsets, 17X9 comes in 27mm or 17mm. 8" are $89 a piece and 9" are $92 each, plus shipping.

Holy crap, I want those! Are they good rims, or crap? I don't know anything about A-Tech.

EDIT: Hmm, sounds like people are having problems dealing with the vendor. Maybe I'll just wait till I get the Works.

I can get you the MBs for cheaper from Discount, and they are the same exact rim.

Go here (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findProductCategoryDetailBrnd.do?tpc=MBMWEA&tp=Car %2FMinivan)I have the MBs /A-Techs and like them a lot. And they fit over stoptech brakes, STI brembos, etc.

I have the dark ones, but they have bronze as well I think.

Yes, bronze and gunmetal. Sorry Scott, no SVX fitments, but if you throw 18s on there you would lose your cushy ride!

What you're calling "cushy" I'm calling "rolling like a battleship shelling an on-shore target". I eventually plan on going to a stiffer setup on the springs and shocks, but I'm going to do it when the 5-speed goes in, since I'll have to compensate for the loss of about 200lbs off the front end of the car.

Also. is the backpad thicker on the lower offset models, or is the shape of the spokes altered?

Sweet!

except, I screwed up, my FC is a 4-lug :D

Are there any 4x114 fitments?
any other hweels you've run across that are ~17x8 and30-35 offset and cheap? :D

Same price for both colors.

Also. is the backpad thicker on the lower offset models, or is the shape of the spokes altered?

I think it's a thicker backpad, but I've never seen them in person so I really don't know.

Discount has a couple of 17X7 38mm offset rims, but nothing 8" with that bolt pattern. Same story at Tirerack, no 8" wide, 38mm is the lowest offset in 17 X 7.5. Looks like you need a 5 lug conversion!
