I am not too hung-over, but was up till 5 am. Had a blast last night though.

Sergio, saw a Jetta that was almost exactly like yours. We all thought it was you till we saw the rims. Looked like the same exhaust and wing.

I finished the uppipe, It really wasn't too hard to do, I'm gonna clean it some more tommorrow, but other than that, it's a done deal...

So all the hype about how hard it is, was pretty lame , on the other forums huh?

Maybe they meant the install was hard. Luckily we have some people in our group that have messed with up-pipe installation already.

aargh 6 hour overtime Saturday's suck, but now I can buy something guilt free.

I put my flex pipe in on Friday... took me about 3 hours, but I bent my oil pan :x. I had the motor jacked up for clearance and the piece of wood between the jack and the oil pan cracked, the weight shifted and I now have a nice curve to the bottom of my pan.

It doesn't look like there's a leak, and the car was fine driving to and from Sac over the weekend... I wonder how hard it'd be to take the pan off, pound it out and reinstall it...

Matt,

You gutted the stock uppipe? Are you going to install it on your wagon?

I just purchased an STI uppipe, Turbofx turbo back exhaust and some STI transmition and motor mounts.

With any luck I will have the parts to install on Saturday.

I don't suppose anyone has a lift in the back yard?

Damn Theo!! That's gonna be awesome on you car! You'll definately gain some nice low-end grunt with that!

Matt, you should set up an install day one of these weekends... even tho I'm done w/ my pipe, I'll still come by and help out with everyone elses.

Yeah, install day would be fine, sunday 22nd??? I can't Saturday, but Sunday yes. I'm not sure what I'm doing with my ride yet, but I will probably put the uppipe on...

 You better, I'm gonna need a stock one back! You know, so when I sell my car to buy an STi I can revert it to stock!

Remember Matt, to get the up pipe on you will have to remove the exhaust... A good time to replace it. The rumor is the new motor mounts (or is it the transmition mounts?) are easier to fit with the up pipe off.

It's only money and my wife is out of town.

Sill want a lift!!! I don't think I know Dave well enough to ask...

Hmmm? Given the direction I'm going with the Wagon, I may only want to do the minimal amount of work...We'll see. I don;t have a lift, but if you guys want to install some stuff at my house, I'd be grad to host another install fest...let me know.
