TPH stands for Turbo Parallel Hybrid, and is a gas-electric hybrid turbocharged engine that hopefully should have a lot of power and be very fuel efficient. Like ~250hp and tq as well as 38mpg and non-noticable turbo threshold. 2.0l twin turbo with a 10kw electric engine paired with it.

Still a lot of work to do to peak my interest. But the "concept" is sweet!

I guess it's a step in the right direction... a hybrid is going to have to get better than 38mpg to turn my head though. My 99 Corolla gets mileage that good already...

Get used to the look, since that's probably similar to the shape of the 2007 rally car. Impreza is probably going upscale, like a small Legacy. This small hatchback will more than likely be the WRC platform, and will sell w/ the STi running gear.
Think of it at the new WRX/STi, even if not in name.

I'm sure there's a regular old pipe hiding behind that bumper. If anything, exhausts will be cheaper since they won't need tips!

Tailend of that thing...is...just........awful.....
Otherwise it could work, but the presentation is just terrible, bad paint scheme, bad wheels.
These photochops made it go down a bit smoother

I really dig the idea of a 250 hp hatchback that gets 35-40 mpg, especially from Subaru and with AWD. And I don't really care what it looks like- IMO, no subaru offering was ever an instantly good-looking car at its release except for the current Legacy.
But is it just me, or is that an electric supercharger plumbed into the turbo?
