Good Times...Those guys are insane. I guess they killed chef off
I like how the Super Adventure Club = Church of Scientology. Matt and Trey are going to magically disappear some day

I was lmao the whole time, i love it, Darth Chef ha!
I'm gonna lmao when Chef Vader sings his first song. I bet a lot of people tuned in because of all the news coverage on Isaac Hayes quitting (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060313/ap_en_tv/people_isaac_hayes).
Maybe I was just a little too excited that there was a new episode, but this episode was only okay.
I think the lesson we're learning today is that religous people don't want us to laugh. ;)

I just finished it, that was one of the funniest episodes ever ... "no, I mean my balls"

Crap I totally forgot about it. You know what is dumb about Isaac Hayes leaving? When the original Scientology episode aired, I heard him on the radio say that nobody is safe from being made fun of by Matt and Trey and that people need to take it with a grain of salt basically. Then when that episode re-airs as a rerun he gets all bloody in his vagina. Geez Louise.

I just turned on Comedy Central, and the episode is just wrapping up right now... I hope those of you that still have seen it caught it.

I turned it on about 10 minutes into the episode. I could not stop laughing! Chef's death sequence was pretty brutal.
There's another new South Park on tonight. 10 or 10:30 I forget.
Edit: 10PM

What time is it on?
Man, I hate when they do that.
Although finding out that Cartman's Mom was his dad too was worth the wait.
Edit: BTW, the forum time is off by an hour.

No way dude, that's un-possible! His father was the 1988 Denver Broncos! Mephisto proved it. With science! :p

So I guess Matt and Trey aren't big fans of Family Guy?

They hate getting compared to Family Guy. I think I remember reading an interview with Matt, where he said his number one peeve was when fans come up to him and say "I love your show and Family Guy too." I guess they got it so often, that they started to resent the show.

Maybe 6 years ago. These days South Park gets half their humor because they can make their episodes so quickly they can satarize something that happened yesterday. But watch one of those episodes 3 years from now and it'll be like watching a 3 year old episode of the Daily Show, or an old SnL Weekend Update... jokes about current events aren't usually that funny a 2nd time around.
Family Guy on the other hand doesn't rely on current events so heavily. They stay funny. Granted, as mentioned in the SP episode, lots of Family Guy jokes are interchangeable and non plot specific, they're at least funny. You can only watch Cartman bash Kyle and try to take over the world so many times before it stops being funny (which was about 6 years ago). Go back and watch the 1st season or two of South Park... back when Cartman was just the bumbling fat kid getting abducted by aliens instead of the evil mastermind... it was about eleventy times funnier. When you're whole premise is that it's funny to have little kids doing goofy stuff, you have to make sure the little kids stay naieve, or it's just not that funny.

Yeah I have noticed that SP isn't as funny as it used to be. Esp. with last nights episode. Sometimes I don't like how grown up they make the kids now, as opposed to what you were saying about Cartman. I wish I could think it's as funny now as it was when I first started watching it in 7th grade.

Personally I find South Park to be hilarious, and is better now then it has ever been. Season 1 and 2 are probably the best seasons IMO, but season 3 sucked(besides Rain forest Shmainforest) I literally can't watch the DVD set, it's horrible. The kids really just stopped being Naive these passed 2 seasons. Season 5 they have the famous "Proper condom use" "Scott Tenorman Must Die(evil mastermind cartman)" Season 6 has Asspen, the Simpson's did it and what not(these where still 4 years ago). Personally I think this current season is one of their best seasons yet, the writing IMO is getting much better, then jokes have more meaning then the stupid slapstick humor that family guy does. You saw on this weeks episode, how incredibly easy it is to do Family Guy jokes, hell Matt and Trey did the 1 minute of Family Guy, and it was family guy to a T. I think a 10 year old can write a family guy episode, there is no thought into them at all. South Park's joke are a lot more thought into them, more satire and a lot more meaning. You aren't just watching a slapstick ohhh man he slipped on a banana show, nor is it really about naive kids anymore. To me it slipped more into a political show, making fun of how stupid the world is today. I find that to be much funnier then slapstick comedy, because the jokes actually have relevance to the world, and they openly slap people in the face(like Wednesday, they slapped comedy central in the face)
"or will comedy central pus out?"

That was classic... Then the whole free speach, by Butter's dad was a slam to Comedy Central as well. "Look people it's been real easy for people to stand up for free speech lately, for the passed decade(how many years SP has been on the year) we haven't had to risk anything to defend it... but those times are going to come, and one of those times is right now. and if we aren't willing to risk what we have... Then we just believe in free speech, but we don't defend it..." ".... I like the sand idea..." was another slap to Comedy Central's face haha I love South Park
"Try my Mr. T...Tea....."

I thought it was pretty good. Especially since they poked fun at themselves. But the Cartman and Kyle fight was the best part. "Timeout timeout timeout timeout Kyle!" "No more timeouts!"
New one started 4 minutes ago. Cory, don't miss this one.

No cable. And no internets at home to find your post anyhow... Funny thing is MikeK and I were talking about that just last night.
It was pretty good, but nothing special.
