I want to buy a set of mudflaps to protect the newly painted sideskirts and I dont want to spend over $100. I have found rallyarmor mud flaps for $109 but I wanted to ask if anyone else has mudflaps that they are pleased with. Also if someone knows where to get them cheaper I would love to hear it, post it or PM me.

Are you a member of any WRX-type forums?

I just wanted to ask on the local board right now. thanks though
And I dont know why you moved this to the Classifieds when im not buying or selling mudflaps to a member.

Probably because the heading is "WTB mudflaps" and not "need mudflap info."

Yeah, WTB is a common acronym for when you actually want to buy from a member on the forum, not when you are looking for information. I guess I was a bit itchy with the trigger finger.
Seņor Cheap Bastard just wants to find a source for some 3/16"-1/4" fiber reinforced rubber and cut some out, but I haven't looked real hard.

We sell the big heavy truck mud flaps at work. You could probably cut some of those up to fit.

Khail how much are these huge trucker flaps. And would you personally use them on your car? Also I have plastic parts for those seats I sold you to go over the metal bolts. I forgot to give them to you.

I'm not sure how much they are, but I'm pretty sure less than $30 for a pair. I can check tomorrow for the exact price. I don't really like the mudflap look, so I wouldn't use them personally. They are just thick black rubber, so if you do a nice job of cutting them up they should look fine.
And I was wondering about those plastic pieces, my old ones didn't really fit quite right.

Got any that are direct bolt on for an F-250 superduty? I dunno what sort of hardware my truck's got for mudflaps, but I know my WRX would be much happier on the trailer if the truck wasn't flinging so much crap into the intercooler.

These are just big square pieces of rubber for semi trucks, 24x24 is the smallest size we have. Jonny was just here to get a pair, he's going to try cutting them up to fit his RS. I don't know if they'd work on your truck without fabbing up the mounting hardware.

I'm guessing I could probably just drill and bolt them to the fenders... But damn those are some big flaps...
What do you cut them with?

I think a razor knife would work, they're just rubber.

I've got some hardware I'm going to use so hopefully I won't need any metal work. But we shall see and I'll let you know how it goes.
It's thick rubber, but feel easily slicable. I don't think I will get too much movement from them.

I've cut MANY mudflaps with a sharp knife.

You could pick up a set of the largest (or largest to your liking) of the universal type from Autozone if you're in a pinch and want something immediately and local. I hear they're not too bad, at least for the GC.
..but I have a set of both Fastline and Rally Armor, neither one of which are installed right now (don't get me started..).
Pricewise, if you are willing to wait a little, try for that Sparco deal!
My $.02.

Alex=Hey ZeusHuh? I was just trying to figure out where the Sparco hook up was. We don't have a "Hey Zeus" or a Zeus user.

Um, I only cut them to the size I wanted. I can't really do much because my shoulder is messed up. I held the up with my good arm and they look good, but I can't do much else. I can't keep my bad arm elevated for any length of time. I hope to get it done this weekend (pending arm betterness).
