You probably saw this on the Yahoo group, but...

From the Auto Museum...

This Thursday, March 8th, we are showing Grand Prix at the Auto Museum in our brand new theater. Starts at 6:00 $10 price of admission includes popcorn and soft drinks. Bring your own alcoholic drinks. This is our first such event and it would be great to see all car enthusiasts there.

Popcorn and Soda for $10 is cheaper than Bully's :)

Is UNR playing on thursday? If so, I wouldn't be going to Bully's anyway so I'd be down.

Apparently Yoda has never been out of work for 5 months.

Dude, Yoda was unemployed for like 19 years on Dagobah. :p

Yeah but he had a thriving forest in which he could obtain food. Sure I have some mushrooms on my bathmat, but whenever I eat them my banana's turn into Chuck Berry.

I like the bring your own alcohol part. But looks like I'll have to eat beforehand.

Going to the drive through before a car movie sounds fitting for some reason...

I think it's around mid-day on Thursday.

Yeah, Nevada is playing on Thursday, I hadn't seen the official tip time yet though. If its in the evening, there's no point in even trying to go to Bully's.

The movie would be fun, but I'm working so I'm out.

This, just does not appeal to me that much. I don't know why. If this turns out to be the "official" meet spot this week, I think I'll pass.

Well, I have a pretty short attention span. So the 3 hour run time doesn't appeal to me. Also, me being of the younger generation I can't appreciate older movies as much as I do uh... newish ones. I've watched a few, but it was under extreme bordem.

I've already seen the film at least twice, and saw more a couple weeks ago on TCM. I doubt I'll be coming. I won't be at bully's either cause, fuck that place.

You just went down a notch in my book, you're at notch 1.

Looks like the consensus is not to go see Grand Prix. See everyone at Bully's.

(Matt had teh funnay)

Grand Prix is a classic, if you've never seen it, you should've taken the opportunity. That is, if you have the heart of a real race enthusiast. Plus, since it was at the Auto Museum, it probably would have been an opportunity to hob-nob with some community people who are involved with racing. For example, the guy who is the chair of the Auto Museum's board of trustees, has a Collection or Porsches here in Reno, and is a key player in trying to bring a Vintage Race weekend (ala Monterey Historics) to NNV.

Grand Prix is a must see for any motorsports enthusiast...I dig that movie even if it is old. Did anyone make the show? I hear the new theatre at the Auto Museum is nice.

Yep, it was a good time. I ran down with Bob (red corvette) and Kevin (Bugeye Sprite). They had an intermission with some door prizes. I think the next movie they show should be Gone in 60 Seconds. It was a long movie considering I had to get up at 5am this morning. A nap sounds good right about now.
