Did you get hit with a shovel? Anyway, what a fitting end to that appeal..Basically being told that the McClaren Engineers are superior is a nice off-season moral boost for Renault.

I thought they were going to move to 4 cylinders or something other than the V10? Not stick with the same one.

As of 2006 they switched to V8's. I *wish* they had simply set a max rev of 19,000 on the V10's w/ a restrictor... then the teams would have the same horsepower as they do w/ the V8's, better reliability, and they wouldn't have collectively spent $1B euros designing the new V8's.

Yeah, I think* the FIA finally realized that to cut costs, you need to freeze engine development, not create new engine types and displacements every 4 years.
* maybe giving them too much credit

Good for Renault. Now I can root against both the driver and the team!

Did you see that they're having a night race in Singapore? Sorry if this has already been discussed - I don't read the threads quite as often as I should! :) That's probably why I'm still a "noob".

We've seen all the talk about making it happen. Did they finally give it a green light? Last I heard FIA or F1 or someone was still concerned about visibility. I will say, a nice race on a street course will be one hell of a spectacle!

McLaren signs Heikki. Not that I've got a problem w/ De La Rosa, I just like Keikki's upbeat attitude and driving. I just hope McLaren isn't hurt by having no drivers with lots of experience... but when you have Lewis, you almost don't need long time experience.

Yeah, I'm really happy for Heikki. He's a good guy, and a hopefully he'll show what he can do.
