I figured I would ask if anyone has one I can borrow. I figure its worth a beer. Or buy if they have no further use for it. I dont really feel like ordering one off of ebay right now. But I will if I need to.

Thanks

there's a fifty percent chance I have one in my garage. I've had alittle too much wine to stumble out there right now but bump this tomorrow and I'll check. Just curious, what do you need it for?

Did you ping Khail who works at Napa to see what they cost there? An ebay one would have been here by now...

You know, the cost of the beer you're going to buy someone for letting you borrow this bit once is at least half the cost of just buying a brand new bit. Why did you even start a thread for something this cheap? I can understand wanting to borrow more expensive tools you might only use once, but ticky-tack stuff like this is kinda ridiculous.

More to the point... had it been ordered online at the time this thread was created, the tranny fluid would be changed by now.

correct if I had ordered it on the 7th it would probably be here today. but if someone had one and responded on the 7th or 8th it would have been done then. I didnt make the thread to turn into a long manhunt for it. I would have already ordered it online but I have been really busy. I will order it when I get a chance. /thread

My catalog only shows up to a T60 Torx. :(

I've changed my tranny fluid several times, and I've never seen a Torx head bolt down there. Is a WRX different than my RS?

And the day I buy someone a $6 beer is the day that I die. Miller High Life FTW

the 04+ is different. Thats why I assumed that someone would have one.

Yeah, I would say that any thing you'll likely use again, (i.e. next time you change the tranny fluid) that doesn't cost much go ahead and buy. This coming from the guy with 30K in tools tho...

Khail, I think they changed the drain plug on the newer trans, probably to try to make the dealer more money by detering DIYers who don't have the right tools...

Craftsman torx bits are $6-7 each.

^find a T70 craftsman for me for $6 and I will buy it. The cheapest one I can find is $6.99 with $6.25 shipping.

Walk into Sears with a $10 bill and buy the damn tool already. You're giving Dean a run for his title with this nonsense.

I thought I had but turns out my torx only go up to t55, sorry.
I understand the not wanting to get one off ebay, I've paid for shit I've bought within hours and had to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive.
