Front and rear kits baby... when the Mustang has these things on in a couple weeks it's going to 0wnz0r. All I need after this is a new rear-end gear and it will be pretty well set up for auto-x this year. That and a new strut-tower brace so I can actually install the intake manifold I have sitting in the closet.

Mike Maier has the car in his race shop as we speak... he's gotta take the front struts off and send them away to be re-valved, so that'll take a week or two turn-around time. He's gonna work with a couple guys he knows at Bilstein to see if they can come up with a nice custom valving in-between a hardcore (rattle your teeth) auto-x setting and the standard street setting. Apparently the standard rear valving is already on the stiff side and pretty good, but the fronts can stand to be stiffened up some more from standard. We'll get shock dyno curves for em' and everything... sweet. Once those are back the front/rear coil-overs go on the car, new axle bracket for the panhard bar to replace the banged up one, new alignment, and new inner/outer tie-rods for the steering.

Sounds sick! Now drop a 2.0L boxer 4 in there and you're set!
Actually, you should drop a list of yer mods in the mods thread (http://www.doink.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=46), I'm sure some people are interested in how the muscle car thing is done.

Lol, ok I wasn't sure if that was off-limits or anything since it was in the Subaru area.
And no, the 4-cylinder isn't necessary... unless it's going to somehow mate up to the 8 cylinders I already have. :) How sick would that be... 7.0L V-12... arghh arghh ARGHH!!

8 cylinders in a 90deg V, with 4 crammed in the bottom.... lol That crank shaft would be a crowded place.

Sweet... Mike has the front kit installed and the struts sent off for re-valving... now it'll take like 2 weeks turnaround time to get them back from Bilstein though... suck. I'm gonna go through withdrawals from not driving a fast car here in a few days.

The front struts should be on their way back from Bilstein today... my car should be ready to pick up like Tuesday. It better be... I feel like I'm missing an arm or something.

I'm thinking of bringing it up for an auto-x in April.

I got the car back... it F'ING rules. I can't wait to get it out on an auto-x course. Less body roll and pitch than before, and I actually like the ride quality better. I took pics of the car and the suspension with our digital camera when I had it jacked up yesterday, is there somewhere I should send these to post Scott?

Hehe, I forgot that picture of the Jeep was still in there, that was a test picture. When the car was re-aligned the least amount of negative camber they could get was -2.0 degrees, lol. That's usually a little much for a street car, but it drives fine and isn't too darty or anything in a straight line. We'd have to reverse the orientation of the top plates on the caster/camber plates to get it more positive, so I'm just gonna watch the front tires for excessive inboard wear... if they start wearing too much I'll change it.
