Well for the 4th time the person leaving in front of me at the ATM left their card in the machine.
This time was a bit different though. When I pulled up to use the ATM I found the card not only in the machine but the screen was waiting on another transaction? Maybe I should have just drained his accounts?
I canceled the screen and popped the card out.
Jamie Heckman you sir are an idiot, I called your bank to complain.

Eh, even if you didn't drain the account, anybody looking at this page and taking his card # sure will!

I'm pretty sure it's already canceled, from last night.

Meanwhile poor Jamie is tied and gagged in the trunk of some car after being kidnapped from in front of the ATM, and all you did was call the bank to cancel the card.

That's weird - 5 times?!?
The Wells ATM's I use will not let you have your money until you take your card, so this won't happen. In general if you leave the card hanging long enough I think the machine will suck it in and keep it.
Oh, and don't even think about taking money out of somebody else's account if the transaction screen is still up. You are being filmed at all times at an ATM (I think).

That's what I heard also.

Yeah, I usually make a "WTF" gesture to the camera each time I find one, maybe making some security guy laugh someday.
So many people want to give me money, I just can't accept any of it. damn.
OK. I've done this twice at a BofA atm. It's their stupid process.
I've never forgotten my card at Wells Fargo.
BofA gives you your money, spits out your transaction ticket, then the screen prompt says something like 'Do you want another transaction?', and if you press the No button you get your card back. If you don't - like I did -- it IS supposed to suck the card back in after a certain period of time. Tyson, are you going to the same atm? (Where is it??????) ;)
I got used to the WFB atm, where the $ comes out, the card comes out, then the receipt comes out.
I think it's the stupid Bof A process. They need a better interface.

The BofA ATM's sit there and beep loudly at you until you remove the card.

Wells Fargo has it right. You don't get your money until after you remove your card from the machine.

^yeah, that sounds about right. When I banked at wells fargo, they wanted to hold my money as long as possible.

I've left my card in BofA ATMs at least 3 times. the newer BofA ATM's like the one on south meadows work like Wells fargo so that's helped me a bunch i think.
