Dont feel like spending $500 for a new set up butterfly-less tgvs or $600 for a JDM Intake Manifold? For less than 1/2 the price you can get the same exact benefits from our TGV Deletes. In this process we take a stock TGV and completely gut it, which includes taking out the metal plate, butterflies, and bar.

These will allow for maximum flow through the TGV. Minimize the engine's heat from entering the TGV's with our ceramic coating. It is very important that heat stays out of the TGV's because this is the last transfer before the intake air enters the engine. Cooler intake air equals more hp.

Customers have seen gains of 15+ whp/wtq. We've also seen third party flowbench tests showing an increase from 330 cfm to 480 cfm!

As far as where the gains occur in the power band, your entire power band is going to see an improvement with our TGV Deletes. On a typical STG 2 setup you are going to realize an increase of 5-10tq/5-8hp in the low end, 10-15tq/8-12hp in the mid range, and 5-10tq/5-8hp at the high end. As you can see in the dyno graph, max gains are going to occur in the mid range.

These will also give you a quicker turbo spool up. If those gains weren't good enough for you, wait till you add a bigger turbo...the bigger the turbo you put on the bigger the gains are going to be from getting the GrimmSpeed TGV Delete.

Yummy!

Hey Justin, I have 2 sets of good side-feed STI TGV cores. The motors, sensors, flaps , and shafts are already removed. PM if you need some.

was is the downside? I always wonder about things that are 'easy gains'. Why would subaru put them in there if it did nothing?

Because TGV's aid idle control. As with many things, drivability trumps power for 95% of the market, even for performance cars.

I believe the install's a bit of a pain in the butt. This is one of those mods you here people recommend for people that are already rebuilding the motor or something, I think.

I thought they were only closed during cold start. I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure they move around all the time... closed whenever the car is at low rpm to swirl the A/F mix and help emissions.

ahhh emissions, the arch enemy of power gains

Hey, as long as high HP cars are still being sold under the EPA's watchful eye, I don't think we can complain.

you are right. they are open on start up to aid in tumbling the air/fuel mixture for better emissions(fuel burn).

Most likely the TGV sensor near the turbo is bad. This one is damaged quite a bit during turbo or uppipe work, and maybe from the heat too.

I have several sensors (tested good) and motors if you end up needing one.

That sensor sucks to replace.

No i had to replace one on nick lancamps car. It blows nuts. You have to pull the turbo and all that dumb crap to get at it.

I might be willing to help since I have done one but it would cost you cause I dont really have an urge to do it again.

I would delete those m-f'ers before I'd pull the turbo to get at them for repair. Although pulling the intake is not that fun a job either.

I'm trying to figure out what any of you classify as a "fun" job.

"your gutting the up-pipe? That job sucks balls. You have to replace your turbo inlet hose? Damn that's a bitch. You have to replace a wheel bearing? Well why didn't you say so, when can I come over."
