Well, the price at the gas pump said $2.47 this morning and Carrie had some shot gun shells to burn, so we loaded up the FJ and headed out north Towards Pyramid to blast some Chuckar and do some 4 wheelin. Overall, great day, nice and cool, not a ton of people out...Didn't see any birds but it was nice to get out.

On the way home, I wanted to swing thru Moon Rocks, and there was a huge rock-crawling meet going on, a couple of local guys and a bunch of people from Northern California. That place was pretty crazy, America at it's finest. Lots of the rock rigs are running on Propane, pretty smart setups... Anyway, saw a few go on their lids and on their sides. The smokey one got on it's side and oil poured over the headers, which smelled nice.
The best part of the trip...I saw my old 98 YJ!!!! I saw a white 98 Wrangler rolling around and went to take a look, the custom-built rear bumper gave it away, as did a couple of the other custom mods I had done. The guy had chopped it up a lot, he cut the fenders, stripped the interior and got rid of the hard top and doors, but that was it, my old ride. It's strictly a play-rig for him. Nice guy, he bought it from Lithia two days after I traded it in on my WRX. Pretty cool.

Waay Cool. I believe that you hunt Chukar the first time for sport and the rest of your life for revenge! I've climbed up steep hills after those little bastards only to have them flush and fly right over my head back down the hill just ahead of my shot!! I'm at Infinion this weekend and we ran in the rain this afternoon, luckily I brought the Legacy for instructor training and I'm loving the AWD.

I would agree! Sometimes I wonder if they really exist.
