I picked up Clancy's Splinter Cell game fo the PC. I was expecting a bit more of a Rainbow Six game... it's actually more like Metal Gear Solid. So far it seems pretty cool... lots of sneaking around in the shadows. Which remionds me, the lighting and shadow effects are BY FAR the best I've ever seen in a game. Very realistic... but they take a ton of hardware to run... my Athlon XP 1700 w/ GeForce 2 TI200 (overclocked) is begging to get the job done. I have to run at 800x600 w/ the detail turned down for a good framerate.
Anyone else have this? What are yer thoughts?

That's pretty much what I'm running, 'cept I've got an AMD that's a tad faster and a bit more ram.
I wonder if I should consider upgrading soon... I figure the prices on the new AMD chips should start falling in a few months... I'll prolly get one then.

I was thinking of upgrading soon also. I am going to stay with pentium though and get maybe a 2.0 gig. As for the ram, 18$ can get me another 256 mg chip since I am still running SDRAM.
