I can't make any sense of the "Non Profit" stuff

I 'm having a hard time with this stuff, as you guys know, I'm trying to register the club as non profit, but most of this shit is like reading greek...

I thought you may have some hard work ahead of you. I will call my accountant tomorrow. Well see what he can do to help.

Upon reading, I don;t think we need to do much, except apply for a tax id # (EIN). I think thats all we need to do to open the checking account. There is so much redundant info though, its hard to make sense of it all. Let me know what the accountant says. I'm going to start by applying for ein tommorrow.
