Because of the volume of parts KSTech has been ordering through wholesale channels lately, I am able to get many popular brands of aftermarket parts at great prices. I think I can match or beat most internet pricing. If you are in the market for something I would appreciate it if you would send me an email or PM to see if I can get you a deal. Give me a brand and type and I will check. Pretty sure I can do as well as anybody else price-wise.

How about Porterfield R4S for '02 WRX? I'm thinking of not keeping the Stoptechs on this season.

^ Great pricing.

How about Porterfield R4S for '02 WRX? I'm thinking of not keeping the Stoptechs on this season.

I have rear Porterfield R4S that don't fit my 03 WRX and I also have fronts that I wasn't planning on selling. Both are off Kevin W.'s car with minimal wear. PM if you're interested.

What about on EBC Greenstuff? I've been torn between the two, to be honest.

The calipers I'm getting are the '02 style IIRC, and I have rear HPS with lots of meat left for this season. But I'll keep it in mind if I can scrounge calipers that match those fronts.

I have some front calipers too. I think they're off Andy's (Sedonabugeye) car. $25.

ACL engine bearings? Around $95 for a set, all options. Would have to get a more precise price, and maybe talk the wholesaler down. Looks like there are lots of places selling them pretty cheap out there though.

(http://www.maperformance.com/acl-race-series-main-and-rod-bearings-wrx-sti.html) I need 2 sets, so shipping is free and no tax. AIMS wanted $59 for the rods and $71 for the mains. :( I want to support my local vendors, but can't afford to and that sucks.

I read the whole board dude. It's not a bad deal for the whole thing, but it's cheaper to go with '02 setup for me. I'll get back to you on the rears though.

I was linking you to a new post in that thread, which seemed like a more apropriate place for this conversation.

I have noticed lately that some performance items have become cutthroat commodities out there. I don't know how these places discount their stuff so much. I don't have a direct account with ACL or an ACL wholesaler, so that doesn't help in this case. And the sales tax thing will always be an hindrance for local sales. I figure it's worth a shot though.

Let me see what I can do for 2 sets.

EDIT: No way. It's cheaper for me to just buy them from MAPerformance.

So, I'm 98% certain that I'm going to be going with the Hawk HPS' for my 08. Do you have any opinions on them for a DD? I know they make a lot of dust but they're only going to be on my fronts so I can just rinse them or something. When I do the switch should I look into getting new rotors as well? I've heard these tend to eat rotors...

cody

The dust on the HPS's won't be as bad a Axxis Ultimates from what I've read...it isn't that bad. I'd also be surprised if they eat rotors assuming proper break in. You only need new rotors if there's something wrong with the existing ones.

Lots of good articles on this subject by Stoptech: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/tech_white_papers.shtml
