KSpeed is now offering a true pro-tune here in Reno. We have partnered up with Clark Turner (http://www.clarkturnertuning.com/) to provide a complete pro-tune including logging and customization. You drop your car off, then pick it up later tuned and optimized by one of the most experienced tuners in the country.

Clark Turner has been tuning since the 90's. He has spent thousands of hours on dynos optimizing boost, fuel, ignition timing, and cam timing on hundreds of cars. KSpeed is partnering with him to bring that knowledge and experience to our area.

Now... Clark doesn't live here in the Reno area, so here's how it actually works:

You drop the car off. You can also hang around and see what's going on if you prefer.
We call or email Clark with the details of the car - make, model, modification list, octane, etc.
He sends us a base map customized for your requirements.
KSpeed checks the car over, cleans the MAF, tests for boost leaks (very important!), fixes minor issues.
KSpeed logs the car in different conditions - idle, part throttle, full throttle, etc.
We review the data, send it to Clark, and come up with a better revised map.
We repeat steps 3 thru 6 until the tune is optimized.

The logging and reflashing will be done here by Matt Taylor, KSpeed's owner and engineer. Matt has a BSME from Virginia Tech, worked for Michelin for 12 years, has been modifying cars since 1982, and has tuned Subarus himself since 2005. He started KS Technology in 2007 to provide specialty parts and intakes for turbo Subarus, and now KSTech is KSpeed's in-house brand of parts.

Introductory $250 flat-rate all-inclusive price for Cobb AccessPort or Open Source tune.

Available for the following Subarus:

2004 - 2009 STI
2002 - 2009 WRX
2004 - 2009 Forester XT
2005 - 2008 Legacy GT

Stage 2: Catted or catless downpipe. Fuel pump okay.
Stage 3: Header, intake, and/or intercooler upgrades.
Stage 4: Bigger injectors and/or turbo. Fuel pump required.

Other options available:

Can you tune for both the old and new style AP?

Can you tune for both the old and new style AP?

Yes, Clark can. BUT he discourages it. The V1 AccessPort is 8 years old, cannot log, has inadequate map storage, and Cobb is no longer supporting it. They have a trade-in program for credit toward a V2, so I would encourage that route.

I can only tune the V2 here using the included software, since I do not have a Cobb pro-tuner license.

I didn't know they were offering a credit. Probably $25.
