Apparently the question is addressed - someone asked Steve Johnson at the NORPAC convention - 'what happens to the series since Mitsu pulled out this year'.

Ug, I wonder what kind of support privateers are going to get from SOA now.

Damn you Mitsubishi!

I hear the privateer support will still be there, including a Subaru parts truck at the events. Not much contingency money, but then again, I guess there never was much.

This looks like it sucks, but on the other hand, Subaru would just be wasting their money putting a factory team out there to race undisputed. They'd win a manufacturer's title by default, and that's not much to brag about. I'd rather Subaru spend the money on a road race program or something. Then if/when Mits comes back next year, Subaru can spool their Pro Rally team back up as well as keep a World Challenge program or something alive.

'Course, that's all just wishful thinking. Who know what the real plan is.

Me too. But no rumors that direction that I've seen or heard.
