Double post.

I drove alongside a GusGus-looking WRX Tues. just before 2pm on Longley. Had flat 4 sticker on it, and the driver seemed to enjoy his BOV quit a bit. I was heading to a Sales meeting that those inspirational posters are made of, so I gave a quick wave, but I had presalesmeetingunamusedfaceinfulleffect on.

I don't think you did wave back, Jerk. I didn't notice as I was on the phone and my full concentration was focused on the road.
I was in a wingless CGM STi with tint. Windows were up, so I may have just waved at myself.....

haha oh yea I saw you. I probably would have waved but I was most likely shifting, or changing my music on my phone or something. Hands were tied up. I'll make sure to wave if I see you again haha.

And thank YOU for lunch! Was good to see ya man! It'd been a while!

sperry 2009-08-20 01:21 PM

Saw a black '06/'07 STi w/ black/red time attack style wheels leaving the S. Reno walmart shopping center parking lot today. Normally I wouldn't bother mentioning it, except it had GST decals on the rear windows. Anyone know who that is?

GusGus91 2009-08-26 02:03 PM

I think I saw 06WRXTR today on N. Virginia and N. McCerran. Me, Moose, and my buddy in his 04 were rolling by when you were at the stop light.

knucklesplitter 2009-08-26 02:24 PM

Saw a flat black (primer?) 06/07 at the corner of 7th and McCarran this morning. It had a pink badge on the grill. Also looked like it had a flat hood with a tacked-on aftermarket scoop. Anybody know what the deal is with that car?

Sounds like the deal is that someone has a flat black (primer?) 06/07 with a pink badge on the grill, and a flat hood with a tacked-on aftermarket scoop.

BTW, my car passed smog w/o having to screw with my open source maps at all... I just had to get that O2 sensor working.

MattR 2009-08-26 04:33 PM

+1 I just passed smog again as well...so happy.

I saw this car yesterday coming down Pyramid, only it was a wagon with a subaru sticker across the top of the windshield. All the other details matched.

Yes! It was a wagon. Forgot to mention that. Didn't notice the Subaru sticker.

I guess I was wondering if anybody knew this person and whether the car is kewl or rice or something in between. "Kewl" would be something like an RS with some unique and effective mods under a flat black shell, or maybe a WRX with a front-mount that uses the aftermarket scoop to cool the huge Garrett GT-eleventy-bazillion-R turbo.

Kevin M 2009-08-26 07:46 PM

I've seen that wagon a couple times too. It looks pretty good if you get over the brand new paint job that got rattlecanned over.

Thanx but you weren't looking closely, my car looks like hell, swirls galore and my nice fender dent from hitting a construction sign...not to mention is just plain dirty from being tagged by sprinklers...obp sucks
