Get off your ass and go check it out. I'd say to put a SCCA schedule on it, but we never made any for 2009 and none yet for 2010.

cody 2009-12-01 12:18 PM

That would be cool to have some SCCA schedules to put on sweet cars I see around town.

Am I the only one not seeing a picture? You hosting it on dropbox or something?

I saw it when I was at home, but for some reason IGT decided to block t-mobilepics.com or whatever.

Its one of these [attached] but imagine the picture being much smaller and more grainy.

Speaking of which, I saw a Porsche Panamera the other weekend in Galena. It looks about a hundred times better in person than any picture makes it look.

So the Panamera is only the 2nd ugliest Porsche ever made. Got it.

Nick Koan 2009-12-01 01:55 PM

Exactly. Not exactly a beauty, but not nearly as bad as every picture of it ever.

Saw/met WRX06TR Downtown around noon yesterday, then I Saw Juice yesterday around 12:30p while getting onto the 80E North Virginia/Center on ramp heading East.

Around 3pm on 80E I saw a wrx wagon with a Flat4 decal on the back window.

Help. I am trying to find video of that amazingly long right hand rally drift by some really famous rally driver from years ago and I can't remember his name. I know it is in this thread somewhere, but am failing at finding it.

Help the elderly... Please. :)

Edit: Don't even ask why this is in this thread. :(

Kevin M 2009-12-09 06:42 PM

Gigi Galli.

Dean, make sure if you try that you get it on tape, we want to relive the fail with you.

Tape? How quaint. I think it is time for a walker for Matt. :)

Not going to do anything like that much less on dry pavement, but I have been practicing Scandinavian Flicks this week. The timing of the counter steer and lift/brake is quite challenging. Anybody can get the car to oversteer, but doing so with control under power is a worthy challenge. I hope we reload the streets with snow this weekend.

MattR 2009-12-10 07:01 AM

Yeah, practicing your scandinavian flick now should come in handy for next autocross season. Rally drivers make it looks so easy, but it is tough to master...

Pssh...they are easy at 10mph in the snow lol

Its also easy to make u-turns late at night when you forgot something at the office.

zpeed 2009-12-10 12:42 PM

I did a u-turn w/ my minivan. My kids loving it.

S2000, yes, minivan, no... Last thing you need is a tire dropping into a pot hole and then having to post a picture of you minivan on it's side. :(

I just pulled a scoob-nut u-turn in the Allison parking lot at lunch because I was too lazy to use reverse and do a 3-point turn. Lisa was :unamused:.

Saw you too. Sometimes my girlfriend and i play a game similar to slugbug but with any Subaru and don't slug each other, but more like a light slap to the leg. It gets old very fast and the slapping becomes annoying.
