And in the other news that doesn't mean a lick of shit: looks like my best earned me third in Novice (counting only points runs) before I walked! If I hadn't psyched myself out after hearing noises I think I could have done way better that run (my forth) - I babied it the last half of the course. I started my fifth run with a vengeance, only to hear more noises and limp it to the finish - just about turned around and drove around the course (thought it would be more officially "safe" to ride it out around the course) :(

Next year, save for Ariel Atoms ( :huh: ), I'm gunnin for Novice :P

Oh man, I murdered my clutch yesterday trying to open the gap between me and Kevin wide enough for somebody to fall in... Wes said he thought a straight start would be fine due to the wet conditions, but with AWD, it's not much different than launching in the dry.

I think everyone there was smelling their own car for clutch throughout the run group after your starts :lol:

Yes! I was able to barely beat him out with a couple more 1st place finishes. :banana:

No Alex is- but Robert tried to use that number yesterday. IIRC he was registered in the computer as 09 TBS or something.

I was really sweating Matt's runs in the second run group- his 2nd or 3rd run was within a couple tenths of me, and I really figured he'd put one more good one down and bump me, but I got lucky.

Also, NEMESIS!!!1! :p

Yeah, i changed him to 09 on the fly, I guess that wasn't differnet enough.

Our Annual Awards Banquet is coming up, Sat. Nov. 13th, 6-9pm at the Casino Fandango in Carson City. We have a good number of seccs members receiving awards this year, including the top 4 trophies in Open Pax!

Even if someone is not receiving an award, your attendance and support is greatly appreciated. $30, includes an excellent all-you-can-eat buffet, door prizes, and good times with racing friends. Please rsvp by Nov. 7th.

SECCS took top 3 in Open PAX- me, Cody and MattR. Alex won BS, Debbie was second in CS, I won HS, Matt won BSP, Cory won DSP, Bob was 2nd and Dave Teasdale 3rd, Cody won ESP, Kevin Weiss won SM, Van won SU. I think Tom Berndt is on here too, he was Top novice. Cody was also named Most Improved driver.
