Anyone here live out off Rim Rock Dr.?

That must have been me. I didn't see you though. I live up here off of Rim Rock a ways. I just wanted to live near my testing road (Geiger) .

Khail

Well then, the next time I see an Impreza out there, I won't hesitate to run you down... I was being all nice trying not to speed and stuff. If it wasn't you I didn't want to freak anyone out by pullig up behind them honking and waving and stuff.

On McCarren going up Caughlin ranch, I just saw a RS-T. This thing was sweet! Nice rims, exhaust, aftermarker front bumper, sweet lights...and it goes on.

He pulled to the left of my at the light and took off when it turned green. You could here that turbo screamin'. Those cars look so sick. I hate to say it, but it looks better then the WRX.

sperry 2003-04-08 07:00 PM

Looks pretty sick yo!

tysonK 2003-04-08 07:20 PM

seriously,
I saw the c-west kit car again, when i was on Baring in Sparks after renting some movies, i told my brother to turn around but he doens't give a crap about me and my car club so i couldn't go see who was driving. I got a good look at the back of it, it has the big WRC? wing. Since it was dark i couldn't see the rims like last time it was driving past i couldn't tell the rims either, i can recognize WRX's better when i know exactly what rims it has. hopefully i will see him/her again.

tyson out.

ZER026D 2003-04-08 07:50 PM

I FULLY ENDORSE THAT MOVE! hahaha, can you photo chop the ROWF? I need to see it lowered 1.2 inches. 8)

tysonK 2003-04-08 10:52 PM

HA those brakes look way TOO small Scott i think you at leat need 13.5 inch rotors on a Sponsored Vehicle! but damn RED looks so great on WRX's i wish i could have bought a fire engine red WRX, i would almost think about geting mine painted, after my black startes looking really bad.

Minor difference... but looks more agressive lowered.

MattR 2003-04-08 11:59 PM

Hmmm, that should work, It looks better, thanks

ZER026D 2003-04-09 11:02 PM

I just saw a WRB WRX and it had a STI badge and it said STI on the licence plate but looked stock beside that.

ArthurS 2003-04-15 12:54 PM

Outside my window right now, there is a white gc8 with a WRX hood scoop on it. Actually looks kinda funny. Overall it looks pretty sick though. I should go run outside and catch him, but thats a long ass run.

A what? with a what?

GC8's have hood vents and scoops on them from the factory... how can you tell it's off a WRX? And why does it look funny?

http://www.cobbtuning.com/impreza/images/gc8.jpg
Looks like the same vent in the same place as my WRX..

Man, why'd they have to go and make the WRX look so weak next to this car! And the newest one looks even weaker!

ArthurS 2003-04-15 01:50 PM

Sorry....I meant to say STi hood scoop. The thing was bigger then a normal one.

This is from about 50 yards away, but you could tell it just stood up higher.

That makes more sense.

Man, I keep having fantasies about finding a '99 GC8 2.5RS, then getting a closed/stroked 2.2L block from RalliSpec with forged internals, then running twin turbos, FMIC, and a Link ECU... 20psi!! Don't forget the US 6 speed STi tranny w/ the DCCD... And then drop all the STi suspension bits in with some JIC coilovers. Plus a roll cage with a pair of Sparco Torino seats. Flared fenders and some 17"x9" SSR Comps. Brembos with SS lines... Boo Yam!! Best looking Impreza, highest boost motor, sweetest tranny, and dopest track suspension.

ooh ohohoohohoohoohoho....

ArthurS 2003-04-17 02:30 PM

Hey Tyson,

Was that you I saw traveling on Pyramid highway into Reno? It was a black WRX and flashed back. Thought it was you.

tysonK 2003-04-17 04:17 PM

NO.

,tyson

you'll recognize me pretty easy after i get these gold wheels on, they are going on tonight..werd.

ArthurS 2003-04-29 03:45 PM

I saw the black WRX with the roll-call this weekend at a party. Looked pretty tight. I left a note on his car with the webpage address and a explination (so he didn't think I was some lunatic  ). Hopefully he will come onthe board soon.

MattR 2003-04-29 09:06 PM

We should put together some business cards or something, anyone know acheap way to do this? That way Art won't have to resort to stocker-ish notes on peoples rides,

imprezton 2003-04-29 09:55 PM

fine, I never wanted to be invited to your parties anyway :x

ooh ohohoohohoohoohoho....

Or the whole USDM STi drivetrain, but who would be crazy enough to do that?

ArthurS 2003-04-30 07:39 AM

It wasn't stalker-ish. Just said

"From another WRX owner : go to www.doink.net and then the forums to see info about Reno meets"

As funny as it sounds, if everyone wants more people to show up, then a business card isn't to bad idea. :P
