Guard your car after the flat4LV meets, though ;)

"Like those wheels? I can get them for you tomorrow."

Not sure when I got the promotion, but it sounds like I might have it in a couple of weeks the paper work is already on its way.

That rules. More mod money. :D Now, what will you tell the registrar in LV region when you register under Reno region at the N-S challenge next year?

Good question, If things work out maybe I could race both regions, for that would be nuts.

We were trying... but since you lost all cognitive reasoning, you were hard to control. The strippers were litterally lining up to give to lap dances at our expense! At least the alcohol wasn't expensive, as the drinks somehow were just showing up in our hands w/o showing up on the tab. 8)

Update on my school. Turns out UNLV isn't as bad as I thought. I got approved for applying to the upper division design courses. Now all I have to do is my dreaded portfolio and apply. Should be an easy in.
2 years and I'll have my bachelors. 2 mores years and I'll have my accredited Masters or Architecture. Yay!

Now I gots to find me a residence. Any suggestions on decent areas of LV? No North Las Vegas. My work is on Warm Springs Road. Just south of 215 and east of 15.

Congrats on UNLV!

Scott@S-S's girlfriend used to live in that area, I think. I'll send her a PM to see what she thinks about 'good' areas around there.

So, what kind of price range are you looking at?

I would avoid N las Vegas like you said...Because you're working down south of town. The commute from NLV to Warm Springs and/or UNLV would be a bitch, traffic sucks in the mornings.

Try for Henderson, although its most expensive, there are also some decent apartments east of the university that should be in your range.
But ideally, try for something off the 215 between UNLV area and Henderson.

$600 for 1 bedroom, no more that $750. The cheaper the better, I'll have more dispensable cash for the racing. :D

The last time I was living by myself I was paying $750 for a 1 bedroom place that was beat down to hell and back in San Luis Obispo. I hope LV is cheaper than SLO... otherwise get your critter stomping shoes on when you have to go into the kitchen in the middle of the night.

I found quite a few in that range. the question is like you said how "beat down" they are.

I support MattR's statements on the driving in Vegas thing. The area on 95, on the north end of town is a 15 minute drive to the strip, WITHOUT morning traffic. I would avoid this area at all costs.

I have a friend that lives in Henderson and prefers that part of town.

*Update*
So I decided to stay another year. The transfer deal with my company fell through. I'm going to stay and focus on paying off my bills. I don't want to be struggling in Vegas alone, that would suck. Plus I could do my first full season autocrossing in Reno. Yay!

Thanks for all your support guys it is really apprieciated.

OK everyone, guess we have to cancel big send of blow out party for Deede...

Glad to have you around another year. Hopefully everything works out for next year for you to go back.

Pfft, yeah right. It's so on! (and now it's an annual bash!)

I think it's the right choice Deede. Glad to have you around for the whole season.
