You can probably argue your way out of that.... if they didn't tell you about the deal up front, they should honor the normal price.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 04:59 PM

Well, he could have if he hadn't already paid it...

doubleurx 2004-12-15 05:20 PM

This reminds me of the alignment from hell I had when I went to Vishnu. I was recommended by Vishnu to go to a shop in the same building. It took the guy 3-1/2 hours and it sucked. Nate eyeballed my alignment and it drives perfectly straight with no pull and so far no apparant wear on the tires. I suppose I should get a laser alignment sometime soon, but I also do not have luck with that. Almost always I end up with the steering wheel slightly off.

MattR 2004-12-15 05:21 PM

hahaha That sounds like the guy Kevin was raving about...I guess all alignment guys have their bad days.

Kevin M 2004-12-15 05:28 PM

 Go figure. Was it the young guy or the old guy that did it?

It was the young guy. He just could not get the alignment right. He used two sets of rear camber bolts that pratically gave Nate a hernia trying to remove. After all that time, I made it just in time for rush hour traffic, looked down and saw the steering wheel wasn't straight. If I remember they also charged me over $200. I'm sure it was just a bad day.

$200? That's unpossible! Makes no sense whatsoever. So, apparently, there are no alignment techs on Earth capable of doing the job right every time.

Dean 2004-12-15 06:01 PM

We are here to do your alignment Kevin.... :moon:

Evo Mike 2004-12-15 08:13 PM

Haha! It was the same shop Eric hates...Big-Oh on MaeAnne,,,I would still recommend them, even though Eric claims they screwed up his car...They've always done fine for me.

MattR 2005-02-28 02:17 PM

Alternative would be Sid's on 4th street.

You can swing by my house anytime, I'm "sometimes" home in the evening...Or I can meet you somewhere... You stillhave my cell #, just call me up.

Dean 2005-02-28 02:28 PM

I reccomend Sid. He will set it to exactly the numbers you want, and only occasionally screw up. (Hey, just being honest, every mechanic has an off day, but he will make it right when he does screw up.)

Make sure you mention you are with the Subaru Autocross group... If you mention Debbie's name, you get a good discount, and if you mention me, you pay extra. :(

There is also a discount for cash once he gets to know you, or if you are nice and ask...

BOO 2005-02-28 06:12 PM

No.. No road Trip... just want it to drive nice is all..

BOO 2005-02-28 06:18 PM
