Doh... I was thinking of an earlier level, yep, gotta keep our speed up for this one...

dknv 2006-07-18 05:33 PM

omg. I should never have started it.
Where's the shortcut key for 'Try Again'?

Dean 2006-07-18 05:50 PM

Finaly finished... 35:15... Hundreds of fatal injuries, and a partridge in a spare tiree...

MikeK 2006-07-18 09:19 PM

I have finished 3 times now, my best time is just under 20 minutes, at least half of which is that level I posted above. The rest of the levels are easy after that one.

ArthurS 2006-07-18 09:45 PM

Damn. The game is hard, but so addicting.

*Try* to wheelie off the wood stack before the down ramp, and keep the front tire up on your way down the "down ramp", then you'll just FLY off of the "up ramp" in the picture there and land way up on the next stack of wood.

I'm glad I'm not the only one terribly addicted to this game!

I'm in the same boat Mike, the rest of the levels are getting easy (30 sec or so each), but that one level always takes me like 10-15 minutes of do-overs 'till I finally get lucky and get over that high box.

Dean 2006-07-19 09:53 AM

That level is a pain. If you can get enough speed, you basically miss the down ramp entirely, and land already in a wheelie at speed at the base of the up ramp. Not that it doesn't take me a couple tries, it does.

I can't put together a consistant set of runs to get my overall time down. Sometimes I crank through 3 levels without dying in minimum time, and then I spend 5 minutes on the next level because I screw up over and over.

The Ice version is  :) I played it for a while last night, but got stuck about the 10th level or so. I know how to do it, but it is one of those that has to be done with almost exact timing in one part.

I keep expecting a launched penguin to go by.

The level with the crevasse between the two barrels is a pain...

Edit: Removed:
Speaking of which, "crevace" or "cravace" don't appear to be correct spellings. Crevice is acceptible, but I was sure deep cracks in ice/glaciers, etc. were specifically called crevaces... Hmmm

sperry 2006-07-19 10:09 AM

Dean:

cre·vasse
Pronunciation Key (kr-vs)
n.

1. A deep fissure, as in a glacier; a chasm.
2. A crack or breach in a dike or levee.

Dean 2006-07-19 10:14 AM

Never would have guessed two "S"es... the number of google hts with it spelled crevace is enormous by the way...

MikeK 2006-07-19 10:29 AM

A: use FireFox if you aren't already.
B: drop the number of screen colors from millions to thousands.

Should help.

cody 2006-09-11 09:14 AM

A: I do.
B: I'll try that. Thanks.

Also, buy a decent laptop. Or better yet, get work to buy you a 2.2GHz dual-core, widescreen, laptop w/ 2 GB of RAM. That'll help. :P
