Mike, you know you only convert 4 events to points, right?

I was under the impression it was only the last 4 events participated in as a Novice, but it reads like it's any 4 events.

Oh, I get it... I was confused by all the events that he ran in ESP... I was thinking those were converted from Novice runs.

Why are we converting to more than one class? The rule is singular.

The only reason for this rule really is to allow novices who stay to be eligible for a year end trophy. Converting to multiple classes doesn't make sense because they can't be eligible for a year end trophies in more than one class. So unless there are events where he competed in an ESP legal car, don't bother.

Perhaps the fix for this next year is to only give them credit for competing in class, and either one point, or the next lowest number of points for the number of participants. Thus making them eligible for a trophy, and those can be taken as drops, or at least are unlikely to disturb the class standings.

And no rescoring of events would be involved. just poke a couple numbers into the season standings spreadsheet.

I don't think so, or at least that was not the intent when I wrote this supp.

There is nothing in the sups saying we will ammend PAX results. This is a class only change.

On another note, I'm looking foward to running up at Squaw. It will be very nice running in my "backyard". Looking at the schedule, I'm running in the morning both days. Because I'm so close, it will be easy to help set up and I'm going to get lots of seat time with a RNP both afternoons. Hey, Sperry fell free to get after me again and move this to an August autoX thread. Ha...

Doh... That definitely needs to come out for next year...

So what do you think of the give them 1 point, or the N-1 point idea? Guess you could give them a pax point as well.

It makes it so all we change is the season standings data, no individual event result changes.

Huh? How do season standings change if you don't change any event results?

It makes no sense!

You type numbers onto the season standings spreadsheet and poof, there they are...
