I'm assuming that I have 13 TAS reserved, right? (I cannot view the file either.) Is there anything we can do about Gina. She switched her number in the middle of last year to 13 also. She is in A Stock Ladies, but I still don't like how she is maggeting my number.

OOPs, double post.

Technically, someone who ran 78 in another class would have priority for it, but I would ask anyone else trying to register that class and number to choose another as a courtesy to you, since you used it last year. You would be able to send me your official reservation request as soon as you got Annual Tech, and if you asked for it first it would lock you in.

Sweet, thanks for the info. :)

13TAS != 13TASL.

NevadaSTi 2007-03-04 06:43 PM

I'm talking about the number, not the letter designation after it. The way I think, if I was a noob at this and just started and was told that I need to pick a number for the class that I am expected to run in, I would make damn sure I didn't take a number that was the same as someone elses. Even if it was with or without an "L" at the end of the letter designation.

I think it was a cheap shot to change to a number that was already in use at the middle of a season. Its a different story if someone moved out from, say from Idaho, and was using the same number.

Brian, you should run 43....That way I'm 41, Dean is 42 and you are 43...Since all the cars look alike, that should work out nicely.

Thats the best idea I have heard in a while. I litterally laughed out loud.

The correct answer is that you want 043.

cody 2007-03-04 06:59 PM

As long as I can shorten it to 3.

You are reserved as 13TAS. I would recommend not making an issue of it, since she qualified for a trophy in the class last year and you did not. ;)

Also, she started as a novice with issued numbers, changed to 13Novice, and then moved to her appropriate class which is AS and took her number with her. That's how I remember it anyway, I could be wrong since I wasn't working Reg then.

"Cheap shot", are you kidding? 13TASL was not in use. The class designation is an integral part of the number... if you feel offended because she picked an unused number, that's all on you reading something into nothing.

I will bet she never even noticed you had 13TAS, especially since you ran 8 events last season to her 11, and only 4 of which you were both at. That's only two weekends that you two were both competing, how likely is it that she noticed and concerned herself that there was another 13 running in another class?

Plus, as far as she should be concerned, she has priority for number 13 if she were to decide to run in open classes next season as she ran more than 50% of the season in '06.

If 3 is the number you want, I will change it.

cody 2007-03-04 07:24 PM

It is. Thanks.

NevadaSTi 2007-03-04 07:45 PM

I guess its neither here nor there. But every event I was at, she was also at. And yes, she did know that I was 13. And yes she changed her number midway through the season. I only noticed it at the Squaw Valley event as I recall to the best of my memory.

The season PAX results only put you two at the same event for the last 4 events you were at, which was after she had switched to 13TASL.

Can I have #22 AS for me?
Nat Sombatsiri 06 S2000

Theo 2007-03-07 02:47 PM

I would like to reserve 69XP. I hope we get a few in XP this year!

Theo

Kevin M 2007-03-07 04:56 PM

I would say no Theo, but you're driving an air-cooled VW from the '60s so I guess it's okay. :p

Nat, you are added as well.

Theo 2007-03-08 08:30 PM

The 60's aircooled Karman Ghia wants to be a Subaru when it grows up! Old 69 has been upgraded to Fuel injection and a Turbo and now it wants a WRX Intercooler. Maybe someday it will get a WRX motor!

as in, a few other competitors in XP; or for you to get a few events in this year? ;)
It'll be great to see you get back out. I still remember that wild run you had at Hawthorne (a few years ago now?) in the wagon. Memory still makes me smile...

The run you're referring to is the single reason is stay an extra 30' from track's edge whenever theo is on course:lol:
