Yes, except for the parts about "dismount" "doing a good job" and "remount"

Actually... black wheels are played out. I'd be really interested to see what bronze on yellow would look like. You might be a trend setter!

sybir 2009-03-11 03:11 PM

Trendsetter, yep.

Agreed. Pull the trigger!

MattR 2009-03-11 04:10 PM

Yes, pull the goddam trigger.

cody 2009-03-11 04:14 PM

Do they look different in person or is the color in the pics in the first post fairly acurate, in your estimation?

Doesn't Matt live like 5 minutes from your house? Go have a look! :p

cody 2009-03-11 04:23 PM

^Somebody ban this guy.

:P Does Matt live 5 minutes from Stead?

Nick Koan 2009-03-11 04:25 PM

I would say that the color is fairly accurate in the pictures. The bronze on those Gram Lights is not quite as 'bronzy' as the Rota bronze. Its lighter, more gray and a little bit more matte.

Dean 2009-03-11 04:41 PM

His house is over off sparks blvd on teh way to spanish springs as I recall.

If you are interested, I would suggest going over and even test fitting them on one front and one rear wheel.

That way you know they fit and how they look. Just as a point of reference, they hit my cloilovers, but that is because I have the large 50mm inverted DMSs and the 48mm offset is quite a bit more than I use.

MattR 2009-03-11 05:08 PM

Yeah , pm me if you want to check them out

100_Percent_Juice 2009-03-11 05:16 PM

Cody will probably chicken out. Like that time he was suppose to get circumcised.

cody 2009-03-11 06:24 PM

 You're probably right. I need a lower offset rim when I man up anyway.

100_Percent_Juice 2009-03-11 08:21 PM

You need 18x9 +35 wheels like this guy.

18x10, yikes?

100_Percent_Juice 2009-03-11 09:07 PM

^Oh yeah, his old wheels were 18x9. I think it looks awesome.

cody 2009-03-11 09:23 PM

It's ridiculous. I mean it does look good and all, but it's the definition of impractical.

Plus, ball joint extenders aren't going to do shit for a car that will effectively have an infinite spring rate in the rear the first time he has to turn hard and the car it sitting on the fenders. Not to mention all that tire it overkill on a street car.

So it looks bad, drives bad, is unsafe, and impractical. But hey, 18x10 on a wagon... Hella flush brodawg!

I got about 4 replies in on that thread before I couldn't read any more. Oh, and those HDR shots added so much to the thread!

(But for the record I'd love 10" wide wheels on my racecar, but on mine they wouldn't rub and they'd have 285 r-comps on 'em)

MattR 2009-12-26 01:01 PM

Bump. Wheels back on the market, I've removed the tires, looking to unload the wheels on their own. Priced at $800 now.

norbeaster 2009-12-28 09:31 AM

man, your killing me.

MattR 2009-12-28 10:19 AM

Sorry Norbeaster...things change quickly. They have no tires on them now.

norbeaster 2009-12-30 08:41 AM

Haha, I just wish I still had the $.

MattR 2010-01-17 03:44 PM

Bump! Still available if anyone is looking for some excellent wheels.
