Mine was in for 16 days, where it was originally estimated to be 3-1/2 weeks, but Concours went to extraordinary measures to get it done before Points event #1. |
It went in on May 2, so I'm on approx the same time frame...I'm really in no hurry I guess, I want it to be done right. I just miss it. I'm looking forward to seeing it though.

 Anyway, I should have the car back Wednesday. Waiting on a couple of parts now, intercooler mainly. But we'll see. |
So, the car is pretty much done, I was planning on picking it up today, and I called Lithia ahead just to make sure...The shop foreman goes..."Oh man..We screwed up!, you were supposed to get a new windshield huh?"....
I'm like,"yeah, that was the one most severley damaged pieces on the car", and its on the first page of the estimate! :x HOW THE FUCK CAN THE COCKSUCKERS FORGET TO DO THE GODDAM MOTHER FUCKIN WINDSHIELD? Even if the paint job is great, I will never go to the body shop there again...I swear to God it's like no one is running this place...5 times now, I've been told I will get a call back, and have had to call back on my own, nice CS. They don't plan ahead, they don't pre-order anything, they are slow as fuck, what else? ... I pick the car up Monday , So we'll see how it looks. It better be fucking cherry for being in there 23 DAYS!!!!!!!!! |
Damn thats like a MONTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would be a bit upset too!! But good things come to those who WAIT!!! ;) .. Just making the wait time a bit better for you Matt.. lol |

Exactly my thought process too..I had a lot to do besides body work, so I figured it would go way smotther there...wrong. |

I feel bad for you guys, my work went so smoothly and I got the car back earlier than promised, and with great quality work on the paint and parts replacements. I still need to go back for the touchup work, but am totally happy with their work and customer service so here's another plug for them: Concours Body Shop Gil Grieve, owner |
Concours was one my options through AAA, in hindsight I wish I would have given them a shot. Oh well, next time I guess.

I fuckin hate Lithia, still no car

Not to knock ET, 'cause if she's getting people to pay that much more power to her, but I'd rather eat the cost of the track day than pay that much to rent a car. 'Course the RX-7 she's got is a bit cheaper at $500/day, but that still stings the wallet too much to consider it an option. And as much as I'd like a little miata for tracking, I don't fit in 'em stock... nor would they let them out onto the course w/o a rollbar. |
I think JerryC is trying to put together the funds to go to this weekend's event, maybe he can take your spot.

Like in a kayak that's a little too small, your knees might wedge under the dash if you need to bail inverted......

A Spec Miata on the other hand, with race seats, should be large enough, but I haven't had the opertunity to drive one. |

In a Miata, if the seat's all the way back so my legs fit, it has to be tilted forward to the point that my head's well above the windshield. Whereas if I have the seat relined enough for my head to fit, the seat has to be slid forward so much that I can't let out the clutch. The lack of a back seat in the Miata is actually what makes it too small. |
