With no other mods, you can run in street prepared.
Welcome to TESP! |
You're in STU which has no wheel width limits. STS is 7.5, STX is 8. For now at least, they're discussing increasing the limits in the near future.
You are still limited to 245 width tires. |
Oh, and given the choice I'd take ESP over STU any day. :)
|
Come run with us in ESP (assuming you're otherwise SP legal). You can run any width in Street Prepared.

...huh...well I won't be comparing times with anybody then. No power mods, no suspension mods, just wider stickier tires, you all better watch out!!!

Just try to drop the gap over the season. |
You could run Novice.
|
Nah, I ran novice last year...I want to get out of there...even though Im still a noob.
|
So, since I have to be at work at 3:15 tomorrow and ESP doesn't run until the afternoon, can I run no points, and run in the morning?
|
Yes
|
I'll be at the July 12th event with my stock eL :D
|
I vote Cory as the champion of the autocross today. When you finally get some power we are all in trouble.
|
MAN! When I got the line right through the turn-around, and figured out that I could literally flat foot the car, 3rd gear, ALL the way throught the slalom, that thing was F'ing INCREDIBLE!!! I couldn't believe it!!
Thanks for the kudos Mike! |

As the owner of a 15 year old L, I can tell you I'd sure as hell rather break it at an autocross than at some random interval between point A and point B across country.

Beatings... violent beatings.

I was just advocting stressing and possibly breaking the car in a place where repairs and parts are very easily and timely obtained rather than during a cross-country trip. And if the car can autocross, it can putt down the freeway.

What the hell is wrong with you Bobby?
I just reread that last post. Dang. Your brain is like...working or something. |
Why must you all underestimate Bob?
|
I'm sober.

And if any of you need me, I'll be in my bomb shelter waiting for the raining down of sulphur or Bob to stop being rational. Whicever comes first. |

I got a call a little while ago, it went like this...
Me: What Up? Pete: Not much, hey did you notice anything wrong with the battery in Tim's (Libila) L, when you checked it out? Me: Yeah, as I explained in the PM I sent him, the negative cable has been rigged and is grounding out on the inner fender. I told him he needs to replace it. Pete: Yeah.... Me: Why? Pete: It just caught fire. Me: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH |
Wait, is Tim's car okay? |
:tipsoneoutforlosthomies:
|
The car's apparently okay... I guess it didn't *actually* catch fire, but shorted out pretty well, and shut down.
|
You've got to love people's ideas of "fixing" things...
I actually fixed it this morning, meaning I replaced to cable from the starter to the positive terminal and properly hooked up the fuse box. Oh yeah, and I got a battery tie down... It's auto-x ready! |
W00t!
|
My sister flew in from Japan to visit so I probably won't make it out to Stead this weekend :(
|
Did she put it on Harry's tab?
|

(Almost sounds like a mal-phrased statement - which reminds me - if one didn't know the context of the following statement, one might wonder ...  ): Quote:
