That's so the cops know a white male lives there. The SS will be by shortly to interrogate you.

van 2008-02-20 03:53 PM

Well they better hurry because I gotta get to class in a bit.

I noticed that quiet little change. Perfectly understandable.

van 2008-02-20 04:39 PM

I think I've outgrown the old unreal tourny username considering I've got kids of my own now:)

Why? Its beyond me too. Yet people have been doing that kind of stuff for years. Are you forgetting the millions who wear a cross because they think Jesus died on one.

I'm failing to see how you can compare a location where someone left the murdered corpse of a young woman, to a symbol of Christianity that is recognized by millions, upon millions of people worldwide.

Worshiping the location of a murdered woman is different than worshiping the location of a murdered man? If one of your family members was shot down by some gang member are you going to get a necklace of a gun? I am not trying to get into a religious debate here or offend anyone.

I'm not religious, nor am I offended. I'm just saying it's a shitty comparison.

Judging by his recent posts, I'm guessing it's more like 60_percent_juice-40_percent_vodka these days.

JonnydaJibba 2008-02-21 01:46 PM

Obscure references for the loss.

JonnydaJibba 2008-11-26 11:04 AM

They caught the guy! They linked him to Brianna and to another incident by dna. Without a confession, that's about as sure as they can get. You can find more info and any local news site or RGJ I'm sure. I just watched the press conference.

Nick Koan 2008-11-26 11:06 AM

Yeah, just read it on RGJ. Great news if its really him.

sperry 2008-11-26 11:21 AM

Fucking awesome. Here's to hoping for a speed trial, followed by years of prison rape, followed by a nice lethal injection.

MPREZIV 2008-11-26 12:55 PM

I'd like to see them throw the fucker in prison, in General Population. No special circumstances. The inmates in for gang-banging and whatnot are typically not friendly towards young woman kidnapping/raping/killing scum, and would be happy to take care of him I'm sure.

With the publicity Bri's case got, that dude wouldn't survive the night.

Wow! Did you see this guy's father? Holy Shit... I'm speechless. I always assume this is what the parent of an alleged serial rapist and murderer looks like, but this proves it...crap.

tysonK 2008-11-27 02:11 PM

problem solved.

You gotta arrest them before they procreate though, apparently.

Dean 2008-12-01 09:00 PM

This actually made Fox New's International satellite feed that I saw here in Costa Rica if you can believe that...

cody 2008-12-02 10:04 AM

I can't believe you're watching TV in Costa Rica. :P Shouldn't you be surfing or fishing or something?

Nick Koan 2008-12-02 10:05 AM

Or laying on a beach *not* watching TV.

Dean 2008-12-02 02:55 PM

Rain most every afternoon = time to swim, read, Sudoku or watch 10 minutes of Fox News which is about all I can handle of that bunch of idiots.

ScottyS 2008-12-02 03:02 PM

Yes, but did you see the story on the DUI in Reno who drove away with a gas pump attached to her Subie?

Oh, and hope your vacation is going great!

cody 2008-12-02 03:15 PM

Heh, I saw that.

sperry 2010-05-27 01:56 PM

Some good news I guess for the bad news thread:

http://www.rgj.com/article/20100527/NEWS01/100527004

Guilty on all 5 counts.

ScottyS 2010-05-27 02:07 PM

bbzzzzzzzzap!

Nick Koan 2010-05-27 02:09 PM

Great news. I hope they families can find a little closure with this.

dknv 2010-05-27 05:35 PM

One less predator on the streets.

100_Percent_Juice 2010-05-27 08:29 PM

I just saw a prowler on the street the other day. I liked those cars.

Kevin M 2010-05-27 09:16 PM

The only one I've seen in like 7 years was stuck in a snow bank on Kings Row at the McCarran intersection for 4 days last December.

Update at 2:55 p.m. Its death for James Biela.

After deliberating for 9 hours, a Washoe County jury said Biela should be executed for killing Brianna Denison in early 2008.

After the clerk polled the jury, Judge Robert Perry said: “My heart goes out to all of the innocent people who have been touched by this tragedy.”

Perry set July 30 for sentencing on the sexual assault and kidnapping charges.

Biela sat motionless as the decision was read.

He said "I love you," to his family as he was led out of the courtroom. They said, "I love you Jimmy" back to him.

Bridgette Denison, mother of murder victim Brianna, handed out "Bring Bri Justice" buttons, and hugged the prosecutors after Biela left the courtroom.

The Denison family gathered in the hallway outside the courtroom, hugging law enforcement officers and prosecutors. Washoe County District Attorney Dick Gammick had a big smile on his face and said he was really happy about the decision.

Gammick will hold a press conference with the family at around 3:30 p.m.
