I live right across the street from white lake! I want to take my car out there after a big rain and have some fun in the mud.

I live right across the street from Silver Lake, but I have no such aspirations. :P

I guess I don't even belong in this thread. I'm 32. :~:

It don't matter how old or young you are. Lol

Be careful.
I know of a few large 4x4's that have ventured out on Lemon Valley's lake bed for mudding and didn't return.
Two years ago, there was a blazer out there for months, till it was safe to get something large enough out there to yank it out.
That lake bed mud is ruthless.

Instead of what? Haha, bet you never heard that zinger. I remember the first time my parents were talking about Stead when I was younger, I was sincerely confused, because they kept saying in Stead, but I thought they were saying instead, and they thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever heard.

DaveWRX 2009-04-15 03:27 PM

That sucks. Yea I'm going to think twice before going out there. Been out there when it was dry but that kicks up to much dust

The "deep" part is not that bad, it's the thick-n-slick texture of it thats scary. It will cake up in tire treads making them slicks really fast. Then once stuck, a slow sinking begins.
It's like thick Peanut Butter....without the Peanut'y taste.

So where is a good place to have fun where the police don't care? Cause at white lake they'll fine you 10k for bringing up to much dust. Kind of ridiclous if you ask me

JonnydaJibba 2009-04-16 03:21 PM

Well that's not a loaded question.

cody 2009-04-16 03:26 PM

There are usually other cars on it so be careful, but there's some nice smooth dirt road on Virginia North of Red Rock.

I don't think so. Black rock has cracked looking dirt.

That is the Black Rock. Winnemucca Lake is also cool, but requires ambition to get there.

DaveWRX 2009-04-20 11:16 AM

Looks like lots of fun. Guess I got to plan a weekend to go out there

TrueNative 2009-04-20 02:38 PM

Be prepared to clean Black Rock dust from your car for the rest of your life!!!
