van 2009-06-11 06:29 PM

I might show up for a bit to hang out.

wrxkidid 2009-06-11 06:35 PM

What?

If Kevin W. isn't coming with his, I'll def. want to borrow two of your wheels still.

SpamMan is out due to a blown clutch, according to the text Mary just sent me.

 Haha, just joking, yeah..I'm still available. Maybe Robbie will let me put my car up on the lift and everyone can try and help my figure out what is bent in the front end..

MattR 2009-06-11 07:02 PM

Or duh...Cody, the wheels on my car are 17x8 with 245-40-17s...I suppose we can just pull those off and use them as well.

cody 2009-06-11 07:12 PM

Awesome. What's the offset? I have borrowed what Alex thinks are 3 and 7mm spacers so it shouldn't matter too much. I think I'll need to reduce my rear camber before I can run even +45 without spacers.

First post updated with BBQ info. Thanks Robbie!

wrxkidid 2009-06-12 02:45 AM

No probelm. Im gonna be anal about spelling and fix it its RobbY bigwobot is Robbie, I'm Robby.

Oh and FWIW I spent 3 hours cleaning and organizing it so we will have a couch to lounge on, watch and heckle the people that are rolling their fenders on.

And Nick P. You NEED to come over and look at how clean it is. You will freak the f**k out hahaha, and I have your sweatshirt BTW

Matt your more than welcome to throw it up on the lift and we can use our combined diagnostic skills to figure out what is bent. I just want a ride on your first or second run at the GSR event, I dont wanna screw with your later runs because I know they are competetive, but i would love not to be on the first one, just so you have the course figured out a bit you know

As I said before, and Cody, if you will, please update the first post, anyone and everyone is welcome to come, and if you want, after we are done rolling fenders, I am more than willing to put anyones car on the rack that wants it up there so you can check it out from a different perspective than on your back. People are welcome to do fluid changes as well at this event once the main objective is accomplished, but I will say that you need to take your excess fluids with you and dispose of them by yourself, usually i will accomodate this but with the number of people I feel will be making an appearence i cannot take responsibility for the fluids you drain from your car.

Robby, I knew that, sorry... And as far as GSR...it's a deal.

k-dogg39 2009-06-12 07:28 AM

I think I will be showing up to this as well to hang out. Matt I already have my wheels off, so I could just throw them in so you don't have to take yours off...

cody 2009-06-12 07:30 AM

You guys are the best.

Sorry RobbY! Now go erase your post where you call me Cory a million time. :P

cody 2009-06-12 07:38 AM

Oh, and first post updated. Let me know if I left anything out, Robby.

wrxkidid 2009-06-12 11:03 AM

I didn't ever call you Cory...hahaha When I typed Cory i was talkin about the Token Black Man hahaha.

cody 2009-06-12 11:33 AM

If you say so. But this morning there were two posts from you that were nearly identicle except that the 2nd one had a bunch of Cory's replaced with Cody's. :P

MPREZIV 2009-06-12 11:36 AM

Well if we're gonna bitch about names and spelling, go change the first post so my user name is spelled correctly where you quoted Robby!

cody 2009-06-12 11:46 AM

LOL, updated. And I was tired this morning so maybe I was just seeing double vision. :P

MPREZIV 2009-06-12 11:49 AM

Ah, this shit's the funnay! And of course, if I'm free on Sunday, I'll surely come down for a while!

youloze 2009-06-12 04:22 PM

Sorry, I've been away for a couple days...I can bring whatever still needs to be brought. Looks like drinks burgers, buns and condiments are covered. Need chips? If so, what do people want? Anything else?

Looking forward to Sunday, this should be cool.

cody 2009-06-12 04:25 PM

Glad you're still in Mike. Can't go wrong with drinks. I think we still need tomato, lettuce, onion and chips and salsa.

Anyone can bring drinks too. Worse case scenario there's too much and you bring it home. Brats and buns would get eaten, I'm sure, as well. :)

I'm assuming Juice is out since his transmission is still out. Moose, are you going to actually roll your fenders or just supervise?

wrxkidid 2009-06-12 04:27 PM

Chips and salsa. I request Sun Chips! I think the only other thing we need is gonna be toppings for the burgers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, thats about all I can think of.

moose 2009-06-12 04:28 PM

No, I am not going to roll.

cody 2009-06-12 04:30 PM

I'm bringing cheese, FOOL! :P

wrxkidid 2009-06-12 04:32 PM

My bad! Who you callin' FOOL FOOL?

cody 2009-06-12 04:35 PM

Do you prefer Foolio?

100_Percent_Juice 2009-06-12 04:47 PM

I am pretty bummed that I can't bring my car up to get the back rolled. I might come to hang out for a bit and see some paint chipped;). If I come I will bring some food for the cause.

Jeikun 2009-06-12 05:39 PM

Anyone have any allergies or special requests for teh ice creams?

cody 2009-06-12 05:50 PM

I fucking love any coffee flavored icecream. Add some heathbar and I'm in heaven.

Joel, I'll have the roller until July 2nd. Maybe PM Sybir to see if you can borrow it.

As long as I can get it back that weekend, I'm cool with whatever if it helps club guys.

wrxkidid 2009-06-13 04:15 AM

So, even though I am not using the roller I would like to thank you Sybir. I think I met you at a PDX/Club Trials last year. Leggy wagon cali plates right? You used to work at Grimmspeed and now you work at GST? I was running timing, at I wanna say the last event Scott ran before the failure.

Thanks for the use of the roller man, i really appreciate it. It is helping a lot of people. If your ever in Reno and you need a place to stay or work on your car hit me up, your more than welcome. I wanna come watch the GST car run sometime if I ever get the chance, maybe check it out if I get the chance, that car is awesome. I have watched some vids, and someone said when the turbo spools it sounds like the world is ending and I agree with that I love that car. Once again thanks man.

Robby

P.S. This sunday is gonna be blast I am gonna buy some more burgers. Does anyone have any interest in grilled or smoked fish. My family caught in in AK and we have a ton so let me know so I can get some direction from my dad so I can make it amazing.

P.P.S I need to stop posting on this site intoxicated, I feel like an idiot hahahaha

youloze 2009-06-13 06:28 AM

You beat me to it, I was just about to post thanks to Sybir for the use of the roller tool. Thank you Sybir, we all appreciate it and we'll be sure to get it back to you safely :)

Also, I big thank you to RobbY and his parents for letting us use their garage and lift. Looking forward to Sunday.

100_Percent_Juice 2009-06-13 08:24 AM

Robby are you hinting that you are going to have poor mans lobster?!

WRX06TR 2009-06-13 12:25 PM

Yeah, I will come chill. I'm way to broke after buying those coils to get my fenders rolled. I can bring some drinks though. Somebody let me know what everybody is interested in, any soda or juice or whatever. I will probably roll in a little after noon, I have to give my gf a ride to work.

Mike are you brining your Z or the wagon?

I have to roll the fenders on the wagon so I'll be bringing that. I guess I could have my wife drive the wagon and I could drive the Z :)

wrxkidid 2009-06-13 05:03 PM

So can someone bring a camera tomorrow as well? Get some pictures of the festivities and what not.

moose 2009-06-13 05:08 PM

I will bring my camera.

tysonK 2009-06-13 06:16 PM

So this is like a big deal now?

I might have to stop by and see the debauchery, nobody bring milkshakes!

Jeikun 2009-06-13 06:24 PM

I'll definitely be bringing my camera too.

100_Percent_Juice 2009-06-13 06:35 PM

I am officially out. My lovely wife just informed me that we are driving to sac tomorrow to get family pictures taken. fun fun fun :sigh:

you're welcome.

cody 2009-06-13 07:22 PM

Sucks, Joel.

I love smoked salmon and grilled fish, if it's not fishy. :)

And I would also like to thank Sybir. :)

Oh, my timing belt job went well today (only one trip to the Lithia parts counter--busted the AC belt tensioner plastic piece) so I can actually go! :)

100_Percent_Juice 2009-06-13 07:44 PM

I really wanted to go to this. I told my wife that I could photoshop myself into the family pictures but, for some reason "that's not the same thing!!".

No worries, man - helping out the club is what it's about.

I'm definitely the Legacy with Cali plates, but I'm not involved with Grimmspeed or GST, though I've known Moike for years (I was actually down at GST today checking out the progress on the L, it's getting even more weight stripped). I used to work with S-Squared down in Sac when we were a standalone shop, helping out with forum and web stuff as well as being a font of both useful and useless knowledge, and I work with Paul @ DB from time to time, helping with web stuff and testing new bits on my toys, as well as still beign a font of useful and useless knowledge.

I've been in and around the Subaru tuning world for 10+ years now, so I'm pretty familiar with most of the major players (for better or worse) and have a decent idea of what works and what doesn't, and figure it's only fair to try to help a bit. :D

You kids have fun tomorrow. Just remember to take it slooooooooooow and you'll get good results, and don't overdo it - you don't need 43 pieces of flare, just folding the lip up is enough, and stay about an inch away from the bumper/quarterpanel join in the rear of the fenderwell to avoid an unsightly tweak in the fender - moving metal has to come from somewhere, and you want to stay away from points that will focus that stress :)

Bring the Evo by and eat some food!!!!!!!! I think i have your undertray in my garage actually...you want it back or can i toss it?

Sybir:
Got ya. I definatly met you I was close in the fact that you were associated with a shop for a while. That L is sick. Mike needs to bring it up and T&T at RFR haha.

wrxkidid 2009-06-14 06:47 AM

Another last minute question...does anyone who will be here early have any teflon tape I could possibly steal? Its not super super important, but I just replaced the attachement on the air line cause when Robbie and I were working on his car it decided to shoot the internals of the connection across the garage like a god damn bullet, firing at 120 psi, hahaha. When I replaced the fitting I didnt have any teflon and now the line, at the connection, has a slow leak. Before all the junctions were rapped in teflon before they were screwed together, but when I replaced it I didn't have any teflon. Not world ending but I really would appreciate it...and love you forever. :D

cody 2009-06-14 07:38 AM

I have some teflon tape I'll bring. But I'm running a little late, sorry. I should be there by 9:30 or so.
