ArthurS 2004-02-02 03:59 PM

Alright, I posted on I-club. 1st post.....w00t.

Me and maybe +1 going.

ArthurS 2004-02-02 04:13 PM

Just double-checking before I make reservations...

Is this the right motel?

http://www.motel6.com/reservations/m...p?MotelId=1354

Because she said there were only 4 reservations for that day so far. I thought more people would have done it already. Just making sure before I do it.

MattR 2004-02-02 04:15 PM

Thats the link I got from Kevin (Ban Suvs), maybe people are dragging their feet in registering.

Well, Kevin told me Motel 6.... so if it's the Reno crew, and Kevin, well that's a party already!

tysonK 2004-02-06 06:25 PM

Well I got the days off. 22 and 23

Kevin are you looking for a roommate?

Is anyone?

I added a reply on I-Club.

Kevin M 2004-02-06 10:05 PM

Nobody has staked an official claim on the other bed in my room... but I imagine that however much space there is on the floor is gonna dictate how many people can stay with me. Besides, there's gonna be enough people there that there will definitely be a party goin on.

MattR 2004-02-07 12:56 AM

When is Alex going to update the registration list on I Club? I m Curious.

Kevin M 2004-02-07 09:08 AM

Good question.

yep......will have to make a in car movie list

STIwish 2004-03-08 05:29 PM

*looks at his 300+ dvds* any requests?

sperry 2004-03-08 05:44 PM

I will already be in LA that weekend. I think Matt's still planning on coming down w/ me. So, if I can still make it to Buttonwillow, I'll just meet you guys at the track! If not, I'll be heading back to Reno Sunday night, and Matt'll have to meet you guys out there w/o me.

ArthurS 2004-03-08 05:50 PM

I may have to stay in town for a meeting with my soon to be Financials District Manager. He doesn't know if he can push our meeting forward or not.

Kevin M 2004-03-08 05:53 PM

The S-Squared crew is actually going to be leaving Sac by 8 or 9 AM. It is only about 4 more hours from there to the track though, so it shouldn't be totally killer if you make the early trip down. Besides, you can make better time by leaving at 6 than at 10 anyway. ;)

sperry 2004-03-08 06:45 PM

Having a department Director w/ a turbo charged Viper rules.

I talked to the director of my dept, and gave him my sob story about having this track day planned since January, and since he's a motorhead like me he told me he'd see what he can do about letting me get out of here for the event. I might only get Monday off, so I'd be doing the post race immediate departure trip back to Reno, in which case a truck and trailer would be almost necessary because the fatigue of driving my uber-stiff car long distance is probably too much, but at least I'll have a shot at making the event.

Speaking of trucks, my boss offered me his trailer if I can come with a truck to tow it... anyone got a truck I can borrow? Hey Matt, is that friend of your still selling that Ford, and you think it'd be capable of towing my WRX long distance?

MikeSTI 2004-03-08 08:05 PM

why get there so early?

I am still planning on going to LA friday night, then Buttonwillow by Sunday afternoon. It kind of depends on Scott though. If Scott cancels his LA trip, I'll be caravaning to buttonwillow with everyone else.

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm good for the weekend LA trip... it's just the Buttonwillow part of it that might be canceled for me. I'm working 12+ hours days for the next 13 days to try to keep that window open for me.

As far as the truck/trailier.... I'd love to be able to tow two cars, but we'll need to find a rippin big trailer, and hope that truck can haul 7000lbs over the Grapevine.  I've never driven a truck/trailer before, so I'm a little nervous getting it and going to town w/ such a big load.... we should talk on the phone tomorrow at lunch or something Matt, fill me in on the dilly. Plus, I still need to figure out how to afford a truck/insurance... I might have to cash in my ESPP stocks, which I didn't really want to do yet (not to mention that money's ear-marked for CC debt :()

ArthurS 2004-03-09 09:51 AM

Its confirmed. I cannot make the trip. I *have* to be here Monday. :(

MikeSTI 2004-03-09 12:42 PM

tysonK 2004-03-09 06:54 PM

Hey Mike....kinda Off-topic...but have you ever seen your pastor (sp?) bless a car at your church? I went to my old church this last Sunday and they were blessing a brand new mustang outside. I knew a priest could bless anything, but it was kinda weird to see it.

The Church I go to (like once every 3 months) is Christian also. Thats why it was kinda weird to see.

I am a minister also. Through the Universal Life Church...

(I did it online....so now I can marry people.... )

Anyway, back to thread topic. Didn't mean to hi-jack.
