The original Fry's was actually in Sunnyvale. Fry's History.

Yes, it was kind of a pit, but the running joke was that they had everything from Chips to Chips, those being computer and potato respecively. You'd go in for the former, and could nosh in the checkout line on all sorts of bad deep fried snack foods and sodas and pay for the empty bags and the computer stuff at checkout.

LOL Thanks Dean.... I was gonna ask IF in order to get a CDR I would have had to go to ELKO

I don't believe there is such a thing as a "Fry's Employee"

At least Fry's Employees know what they are lucid and coherent. And they don't start telling you stories about when Zombies attacked the store the other night.

wait what?? Zombies?? Did the Zombies have rage?

Ask Nick to tell you the zombie story in person sometime :)

Ooo dirt. I have to ask Nick now.

Grrr!!! :x  .. I am a bit Frustraded here ... It's 3:00 In the Fricken Morning and I am trying to burn some CD's(Memorex CD-R) with the External Drive(Burner) that Mike H. Let me borrow.. But I see all my hard work Down Loading the TOP GEAR videos won't happen... They just won't burn because it says the .AVI is not a "Supported Media Type" ...

Not on Real Player nor on the Win XP built-in software ....

Please Help?? what can I do to get these AWESOME Vids TO BURN ....LOL

BOO 2005-02-12 10:31 AM

When you are getting ready to "save as" It gives you options (Drop Down Menu/window) well, The only options that it throws at me is : .avi and all files

I have tried both and nothing works.... :?

Here's how I would go about burning stuff using XP --- load a blank disk in the writer, right click the folders or files that need to be burned, and select Send To Writeable CD (or something like that). It's actually best if you have all the files organized in a folder so that you can send the whole folder (providing it is not too large for one CD).

I actually use 3rd-party burning software, so these directions might not be the most efficient, but they are simple enough.

Thank you as well for that bit of info..
I finally got it to work!!! Yeay!!!... lol
Sorry eveyone... I was a little bit frustrated... But I am glad in the end it paid off... I had to get "NERO" software for it to finally work on this piece of CRAP computer( Or is it Operator Error...lol )

So MikeSTI .. If its ok with you I would like to keep it a bit longer than a week.. Let me know Otherwise I can bring it to the meet...

Dean 2005-02-17 03:28 PM

Nero Rules. I'm making a Bootable CD-RW right now in the background... Checking the board while I wait.

MikeSTI 2005-02-17 05:41 PM

glad you got it going!!!! :D

feel free to keep it for awhile, I don't see needing it any time soon....... 8)

BOO 2005-02-17 10:36 PM

Thanks man 8)

Ps: Sorry I couldnt make the meet tonight.. I was gonna go but since this morning I had such a terrible head ache that come 5pm I could not stand the pain(I hadn't taken anything for it cause I thought it would simply go away by itself) so I took a couple of Tylenol 650 Ml each and took a nap.. when I woke up around 6:15pm I felt like the whole room was spinning and quickly went to the bathroom to puke....

I feel all better now and just had a light dinner...

It kind of sucks because (Even thought I am unsure if Matt was there) I wanted to go to pay for my Hoodies/Shirts... Maybe I can just give to one of the members that is a REG. at the meets On Sat. if we are still doing the brake install???

Dean 2005-02-18 09:04 AM

Excuses....

"Two dollars! I want my 2 dollars!"
