Good shit! Me Likey! The color is def. a-o-k in my book!
|
Very nice Scott. Great work!
|
It looks killer, man. I like it the way it is, personally. I can see where the gridlines hit, so it doesn't disrupt my eye.
You know I'm in for like 12 of whatever anyways ;) |
I am definitely okay with that design.
|
Any chances for kids sizes this time? Bayley would love one of these.
|
Great job Scott! We are lucky to have some one to do this for us.
I think losing some of the grid lines in the SECCS lettering would be good. I think the hotside(the side pointed away in the picture?) of the turbo should be smaller. I love the colors very indie music labelish. |
The gridlines are random, placed similarly to the way I'd crosshatch a drawing just to "balance" it, and not as reference lines to anything else in the drawing. They're not meant to look like part of the blueprint, they're just there to busy up the drawing. I'm still pretty undecided about keeping them or changing them.
There isn't a single line anywhere in the artwork that's less than one point thick. Theoreticallly the screen printer should have no problem with the image, unless there are spots where the lines are so close together that they blend into a single line, which won't really be an issue. The detail that Deede mentioned on the SRIC design was significantly smaller than the details in this design, so I'm not too worried. The colors seem to be okay with everyone, but I'm still not sure about light blue on maroon. The maroon was picked by popular choice earlier in this thread, and the blue was from the simple "let's make it look like a blueprint" decision. There was no real consideration about how they look with each other. Does anyone have some suggestions for alternate color schemes they'd like to see? I'm a little worried that we won't be able to see the white and very-light-blue on top of the light-blue background. We may need a higher contrast alternative color scheme. As far as kids sizes... there shouldn't be a problem ordering a few very small sizes, as long as the design fits. I don't want to make consessions that will make the adult sizes look funny because we want to make sure that the screens fit on a kid's medium. Perhaps we can do some kids versions w/o the large back image and just put the turbo on the back or something... Thanks everyone! Keep the feedback coming! |
Oh and, I think I will keep two of the SECCS logos, and replace one with the "www.seccs.org" text (once I'm back in Reno and I have access to my font collection).
Any opinions on which one to change? Or maybe use the SECCS on the back, "www.seccs.org" on the sleeve, and "Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras" on the front? |
Looks very nice Scott, 22B FTW ;)

The designs are lookin' great, but the way the turbo is angled makes it almost look like something. . . risque. |
me likey

I'm for keeping the gridlines as they lend themselves to being the invention and process of the design. Thanks for considering the kids version.

You did a hella good job. It's hard working on a design by yourself because after a while of looking at it, it just looks horrible. But no, not this. Only thing I would suggest is that if you put the url, put it on the back bottom maybe? Just not the sleeve because it's a lot of letters and it would be harder to read on a sleeve.

SICK!!! I'm totally in for 1

On a side note, I was called out by a girl at UTEP today for using the words "bro" and "gnar" while telling a story about Jonny. |
What? Why would you EVER use the word bro when talking about me? Gnar, I'll take that I guess.
Aw you were talking about me awwww. |
