I haven't heard from anyone (Dean). I'm out of here around 5:30-5:45 (I work downtown) so if nobody has told me where to drive by then, I'll set my sites for home.

Sorry, I went to see 9 with my buddy and his two kids after moving his HDTV...
Wed. maybe? Cody can't go... Is that good or bad? |
Are we having a meet tomorrow? If so where and when, I want to try to make one.

First post is still correct. |

And, aren't you missing something rather important? |
I stopped by Rail City today and was not impressed. Ale House is OK, but nothing to right home about and shares air with the smokey casino. The restaurant/buffet is in it's own room, but also nothing to right home about.
I heard that "The Fourth Turn" location across from Lithia Subaru is now a Jack's Coffee Shop with a twist. It is open for dinner and has a bar... Might be an option and we can heckle the Lithia guys... |
I agree with your assessment of Rail City. You are totally write.

Indeed, wright you are Ken.

GSR has ads on about a new Sports Bar opening... Anybody up to check it out early next week???
|
Mike and I checked the new GSR Xtreme sports bar out. Food was decent, but KRZQ was there with the amps turned up talking over the football game, so it was not the best of examples.
Menu isn't bad, but not as varied as Sully's and stupidly printed on a snowboard. Waitresses are pretty hot. Prices are typical. All the "sandwiches" and a 10oz burger w/fries is $9. Extra toppings are $.50 each. Appetizers come in three sizes each. $5/$8/$10 I think. Drinks are $2, Mike's Corona was $4.50. Mike had a salad, I had the deep $8 fried ravioli. Both were pretty good. not sure I got $8 worth of ravioli though. Not sure if we can get it, but there is a nice upper section behind the lower bar that would be nice. Need to go check it out on a weeknight. I also had a thought that maybe we should make it a SECCS/SCCA meet wherever, every Wed. with it being at Austin's on the first Wed. for the SCCA meeting... Could bring out a few more people which would not hurt given our more recent turnout. Just some thoughts. |

Couple more thoughts. have not been in them yet. Anybody eaten at them?
PJ & Co. 1590 S. wells. (2 for one coupons in most every paper/mailer) Coach's BBQ 1499 N. Wells (UNR discounts) Baldini's Sports Casino (2 for ones and a few restaurant choices including the "The Brickyard" |

PJ & Co. has great food but we'll have to check out their parking during the week. Wednesday is Bike Night according to their website, so as long as we steer clear of that, it might work. I think Matt mentioned that the club used to meet there. |

We did Coaches once I thought... but I don't remember it on N. Wells... I think they have a second location? Either way, the food was mediocre and not cheap IIRC. But it was probably 3 years ago or more since we tried it. |
Different Coach's I think. You are thinking of Coach's on Virginia & Mt. Rose where Kragen used to be midtown. This is Coach's BBQ across from the livestock/event center.
Too bad on PJ's. Did we meet there? I thought that was some place on Virginia, not Wells. We ate outside as I recall? Right place? Anybody up to check some places out this week? |

OK, scratch Coach's BBQ. Just BBQ, and not particularly appealing.
Baldini's would be decent with food options, TVs and car themed Brickyard if it didn't smell like a a cross between an armpit and a really bad cigar. Since they have reconfigured Wells, there might be parking options at PJ's. The Paul Mitchell Academy is probably closed, and there is a street that is no longer a street with parking spaces right next to it. Anybody want to check it out on a Tuesday night? It is a bit off the freeway, but sounds like a place people like. |
I used to live about 4 blocks from there. I wouldn't be very excited about going there for meets.
