Okay, so the top one is the run order for Sat. and the bottom is for Sunday I take it? Lunch falls in the middle of the 4 run groups? Since I'm in the G rungroup on Sunday, what time should I come?

BGWY
YBGW

Nick Koan 2006-05-10 03:20 PM

7:30am!

You could probably get away with showing up around 10:30-11 on Sunday.

Dean 2006-05-10 03:22 PM

Drivers' meetings will not start before 9:00AM for the morning run groups and not before 12:00PM for the afternoon run groups.

Thanks.

No, the groups rotated forward. Saturday starts with Yellow, Sunday starts with White.

What happened? So it's:

Sat: YWGB
Sun: WGBY

So if I'm running ESP (Green), I can come at 10:30 or 11 on Sat and 7:30 on Sun?

Just show up around 7, both days, and help set up, then you won't have any problems. :)

Good Attitude, Lucas would love you guys.

cody 2006-05-10 03:48 PM

I'm just trying to schedule my hangover accordingly. :P

Kevin M 2006-05-10 03:50 PM

Whoops, I hadn't noticed the turned page before I replied with the schedule rotation.

It still makes no sense.

Dean 2006-05-10 07:57 PM

You run one group "later" each event until August when it bumps 2 forward. I am not sure if this was a mistake, a remnant of last year when we had a single day event in there, or an attempt to even out the number of spit weekends everyone gets.

Until August White, and Blue get to run the same half of the day both days, and Green and Yellow are always spit one early, one late. In august, that flip flops.

I'm guessing that is just an artifact from last year's schedule because there was a one day event last year that did that to us without mucking with the bumps per event.

Bob Danger 2006-05-10 08:44 PM

Dean do you plan on running the STI, or are you going to finish the season in the Miata?

Yeah, Cory and I have been doing our best to get there in time to help with the layout. The bonus is that we can get a little more familiar with the track. :)

I plan to continue to compete in the Miata.

I already know I can whoop all you yongins in a FWD, or AWD car :P , learning to drive a low HP light well balanced rear wheel drive car is my challenge for the year.

I think next year I'll go kick some Corvette ass...

MikeK 2006-05-29 06:36 PM

Results are done up to round 6. Scott and Matt are currently equal 2nd for overall pax behind Lucas!

dknv 2006-05-29 07:01 PM

Thanks for getting results up so quickly!

Kevin M 2006-05-29 07:06 PM

Yeah, nice job dude.

I decided to punish you guys for beating me both days. It's like the rat in the maze who gets zapped everytime he goes for the cheese, and after a while he learns to let me win at autoX ;)

MattR 2006-05-29 08:45 PM

Is that why we're listed as "ladies"?

You beat us into the ground all last season, so I don;t feel bad for you yet. You'll be back, I have no doubt in my mind.

Dean 2006-05-30 07:14 AM

What, no love for the web master? That's it, there is going to have to be some Subaru PAX Ass kicking by a Stock Miata... Oh wait, that already hapepened Sunday except for Matt and some LV guy in a AS car who spanked you all... :P

Seriously, we had some really good driving this weekend. Congratulations to all.

MattR 2006-05-30 12:52 PM

Thanks webmaster Dean for clicking the buttons and posting the info that Mike sent to you.

Yeah it looks like the April 29th trials event results got posted. 'Course, they're not sorted by class, nor do they included points... didn't we have all that data? What happened?

Well, it used to have to be reformatted to display correctly on the web page, maybe that all changed though.

Thanks Dean.

I think I posted what was in the zip file Mike sent me. I'll double check tonight.

A1337STI 2006-05-30 01:49 PM

Thanks to all for the results. I finally won !! (in a class of 1)

Everyone spare a thought for Mr Danger, who hit a cone on every run yesterday (including his DNF)

My deepest sympathies...

I tried to hit all my cones for the day on my first run! DNF twice on one lap! Sweet!

sperry 2006-07-17 08:22 AM

I think I only has 2 cones on the weekend... one was blatant, as I understeered off the course, the other was just from clipping one in the slalom w/ the rear of the car.

Much better than the 15 cones I hit at Hawthorne. 'Course at Hawthorne I took overall PAX on Saturday and 9th on Sunday... perhaps I should go back to hitting enough cones to tear off the front bumper. :?:

MikeK 2006-07-17 09:54 AM

It looks like there are 3 people who can win their class at the next event: John Evans, John III Riggs, and ... <drum roll> ... Carrie!

Carrie, you should finish the season in the mini after you win SML :)

Nick Koan 2006-07-17 10:12 AM

So, have I at least taken second place away from the cheese wagon?

I was going to say that I should be on that list too, except I think I just clinched CSP this weekend. I have 190 points, and I think the most Wes Friesen can finish with is 180. Do I have that right Mike?

MikeK 2006-07-17 11:23 AM

No, he could finish with 222

Kevin M 2006-07-17 11:43 AM

Does that include 4 drops or 2?

MikeK 2006-07-17 11:44 AM

4

Kevin M 2006-07-17 11:47 AM

Crap, I see my error now. I guess I just have to cross my fingers nobody else shows up in CSP, or that he misses Squaw and/or Lovelock.

/me runs away

p.s.- I will clinch CSP next weekend, provided I can find a miata to drive and Wes shows up to make sure I get my 42 points.

Yeah, but there's still pax position, which you're in good position for, Carrie. ;)
[edit]Just an opinion - bring the mini out one of the days when you run in the morning, then run the mini in the afternoon for no points, and see how it performs. We might find out that your mini is even faster paxed than Matt's STI in SM/L. :)

Was your car any better/faster with the a/c out? (Didn't get to see run group 1 on Sunday.)

It was a lot hotter on the way to/from the event!

Actually, it's hard to say how the A/C removal effected the car. I figured out that my rear struts are blown out (zero rebound damping  ), which explains why the car was so inconsistant, and wouldn't turn at all when the track got slick Sat afternoon. Sunday, when the track was cooler, I found some grip, but still couldn't perform to the Roy/Khamis level (though Mike got me by less than 0.05 seconds  ).

I've got new suspension on the way, hopefully to be in the car by the trials this weekend, and Cory's mounting up some RA1's for me by then as well. It should be a totally new animal this weekend. I just hope I can figure out how to drive it!

Joeyy 2006-07-17 02:49 PM

The weekend was fun but I have alot of cone marks to work on. I don't think some will come out but we'll see.

Dean 2006-07-17 03:17 PM

Windex... Don't know why, but it cuts through cone marks that tar and paint remover won't...

It's good on cuts, and burns and other stuff as well. Ask Grandpa... What the hell is that from? Some movie or show where grandpa uses Windex for everything...

MikeK 2006-07-17 03:40 PM

Windex is for chumps. Just stop washing the car and the marks will eventually blend in.

Dean 2006-07-17 04:04 PM

Found it... "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"...

Toula Portokalos: [narrating] My dad believed in two things: That Greeks should educate non Greeks about being Greek and every ailment from psoriasis to poison ivy can be cured with Windex.
