Where's the pics of your RS Khail?

khail19 2006-01-10 09:11 AM

There's one on the 1st page, I need to take some more updated pics. All the ones I have are at least a year old except that one.

cody 2006-01-10 09:17 AM

Do eeet!!! That one on the first page is just a teaser.

The GT30-10 is in the neighborhood of a 16G. Spools at about 2800, should make in the 280-300hp ATW range.

The turbo I'm planning on going with is a TD06-20G. Should spool around 3000-3200 and make about 330-350 awhp... the only problem is the packaging doesn't lend itself to bolt-on application. Right now there are two places that are modifying housings to get it to fit, but at $1600 + a huge waiting list, I'm gonna wait to see if Gruppe-S's new packaging comes through. They're thinking $1000 for the turbo, and it'll be an actual bolt-on w/o modifying anything.

But for now the GT30-10 should be competative since everyone else scrapped their plans for new turbos in favor of a race tire budget. *phew!*

khail19 2006-01-10 10:11 AM

I'll try to wash my car and take some this weekend.

cody 2006-01-10 10:41 AM

Better yet, go do some donuts in the mud and then take pics. :D

DARKSTI 2006-01-10 11:18 AM

That was the 1st time I ever drove the car in the snow, circa 2001. It snowed, so IGT kicked everone out of work early at 4pm. I hit the empty lot and spun some brodies.

Then went back at lunch the next day for the pictures.

cody 2006-01-10 12:11 PM

That explains the dry spots in the tracks. Did you ever have heat soak issues running that bra? I'm assuming you didn't have a FMIC at that point.

The bra never made a lick of difference. Personally, I don't think it greatly effected the flow to the intercooler. If anything, it would effect the flow to the intake snorkus more, but that didn't matter on my car since I hacked the intake silencer right away and was drawing air from the fender.

The 20g is a GREAT turbo. Its hit 10s with DSMs. Thats what I should have gotten instead of going with this ''XX'' Trim crap. Oh well, Ill make it work. The FPgreen is in that price range tho - I know i just bashed the trims, but with that 50trim people have put down 400awhp and low 11s. I know you dont drag, but Im just stating the times for speed/comparitive purposes.

sonicsuby 2006-01-18 11:50 AM

Here's an updated pic. I got rid of my coilovers and installed USDM STI Pink springs. Also removed the s2 badges and put on my Yakima fairing.

(not really.)

cody 2006-02-02 08:11 AM

Get that RS bumper on there quick! :D

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-02 10:04 AM

I know for shizzle.

JC 2006-02-02 10:15 AM

Now I see why you wanted to know about salvage yards. ;) You need some rims man.

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-02 10:21 AM

I have rims, 99 six spokes actually, but they need tires sometime soon.

JC 2006-02-02 10:25 AM

99s are 5 spokes. 00 & 01 are 6. You can get some used RE92s pretty cheap generally.

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-02 10:27 AM

Uhhhh then they are 00's I guess.

You gonna paint 'em? Might I suggest running 205/50s when you buy tires.

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-02 10:34 AM

Weird that is what I've been lookin for lol. And they are black right now. Well 2 outta the 4 are black. I've been taking a while painting them because I know I'm not getting tires for a little while.

I could not wait to get rid of that park bench, or at least get it off of the car. It is still sitting in my garage in the hopes that I can find a wingless trunk lid to trade it for.

Aaron likes to point out how my STi resembles my old WRX more and more each time he sees it.

Old and busted:

Don't listen to him. Wingless rules on the street. I beleive a Harvard study showed that for Male drivers between the age of 18 and 50, the size of the wing on a car is inversely properional to the size of the owner's, ahh, control stick. :)

JonnydaJibba 2006-02-02 11:36 AM

My car is wingless =D

What coilovers were you on, and how do you like the STi pinks in comparison?

DZ, that looks fantastic with the whale-fin wing. I prefer it to the park bench. :)
