Yeah. I saw that SRT come into Lithia's Subie lot, park amidst all the new cars, and then the two people get out and walk around like they owned the place. I could see the "hard" front from yards and yards away.

I saw a whole gorup from the club at the Stead Airport having way too much autocross fun.

If I had brought a coat or sweater I might have hung out long enough to say "what up".

Murphy's Law, when it is sunny at your house in Gardnerville, it will rain at the autocross.

I saw a green older looking L yesterday going west on 80, kinda looked like Tom's but I couldn't a good look. Anybody anybody?

rubberbiscuitt 2006-04-14 05:28 PM

cody 2006-04-14 05:32 PM

^^^ Congrats on the new job!

Keep forgetting to mention this one... across Double R from our office, somebody at EET has a bluw bugeye WRX, with dark 7 spoke wheels, with the plates "BEAMN1." I thought it was bemani the first couple times I saw it.

Joeyy 2006-04-14 06:06 PM

Anybody know of a black bugeye wagon in Truckee missing it's rear bumper with Rotas?

nightwalker 2006-04-15 09:17 PM

I see Sti's and WRXs all the time in Truckee, but they don't seem to acknowledge me, though I give a friendly nod. ...is it the Mitsubishi v.s Subaru rivalry that's imbued into you when you purchase either one of these cars... or...

...must be fear

I have the STI with the Thule box on top. I'll give a waive next time I see you.

nightwalker 2006-04-15 09:45 PM

hahaha, I've seen you going down 89 towards tahoe city many times. I wasn't driving the Evo though, I was doing test drives in customers cars. (I work at Quality Auto) That road is part of our route. I always think to myself how odd the Thule box looks on an Sti (not a bad thing) ...I just associate those boxes with Subby wagons, and it being on an Sti just doesn't really register in my head yet.

I often take my lunch at Alpine during the week for a couple hours.

Now that his car is mostly an STI, he has the smug attitude that goes with it

 I saw your car just as I was getting off the fwy and thought, "oh hey, that was probably Ryan!" (I never hear any honking... my exhaust/suspension is way too loud). I didn't notice you because I was watching the gauges making sure the oil cooler / remote filter / Defi gauges I just finished installed about 3 minutes prior were all working properly... so far no leaks! :)

Is it wrong that my car cruises under light throttle at 1500 deg F egt?

White ? Yellow ? I've seen a few around town, they are very rare up here considering it has AWD. And yes i feel i shouldn't wave at Evos , i scowl at them. (In jest though, I respect EVOs as much as STIs)
