Yeah he said 5 days...or even longer is better. WTF.
I guess it's a good thing I'm flying outta here for the next 5 days...cause I've never wanted to roll my windows down so bad! Why is it I always wanna do what I'm not supposed to?

And I very well might get flipped off...

'cause being bad, feels so good.

A1337STI 2011-04-06 08:28 AM

Ya but if you give in too often your car will end up looking like either of mine

I saw someone in a blue RS 2.5 yesterday with SCCA stickers.. i wanted to chase him down and try bidding on his Oxygen sensor harness, but i was in route to pick up stuff from UPS.

I've noticed that less people wave back in Reno, than in Tahoe (where there are PLENTY of Subarus), i only ever wave or peace sign turboed imprezas, I also do it from my rally car but i get a much lower return rate there...

Well since you wont be here, then you wont have the urge to roll them down! haha

It's human. Somebody tells us "No don't do that". So it makes us want to do it. It has happened to everybody.

Well I doubt you'd get flipped off if you waved at another guy in a subie. :)

100_Percent_Juice 2011-04-19 08:51 PM

Spotted a 2 tone silver subi with gold wheels in south Reno. Looked pretty nice for the second that I saw it. Had some stupid stuffed animal or something hanging from the back.

A1337STI 2011-05-16 08:43 AM

I saw a white STI with "CeNoEvo" license plate, the guy had on a full face racing helmet (visor up) when i saw him yesterday . it was pyramid and highlands drive. i got a good laugh that he had on a racing helmet ... lol think he was with passenger .. oh and he had rally armor mud flaps FTW!

cody 2011-05-16 08:47 AM

It's hard to see Evo's with a helmet on.

100_Percent_Juice 2011-07-11 11:34 AM

I think I passed Kdogg up at tahoe on saturday.

Ah was that you on hwy 28 going toward Kings Beach? I waved a little late, I was zoning out...

100_Percent_Juice 2011-07-11 12:12 PM

I looked in the mirror and saw your arm shoot out. It usually takes like 10 seconds for my brain to actually acknowledge that I see a subaru anymore. At least one worth poppin the deuce.

I hear ya! What wheels are you on? Car looked good!

100_Percent_Juice 2011-07-11 01:38 PM

You must not have seen my smashed headlight and dented hood.
Someone backed into me like 10min before I saw you. I am running 5Zigen fn01-rc wheels

Crazy. I wonder if it was converted or JDM/EDM?

100_Percent_Juice 2011-08-06 06:44 PM

Probably Sam.

GusGus91 2011-08-06 11:18 PM

Yea it's sam. It's converted.

Nick Koan 2011-08-07 02:04 PM

I saw a white RHD GF with WRX and STi stickers on it today at Scheels. California plates I think, and it sounded real nice too.

MattR 2011-09-29 06:26 PM

On Prater today....Saw a silver 04 Sti with "BENZ" on the side window....OMG it's alive! Tried to street race him but he wanted none of the MINI's fury.

I could have taken the Mini even on wastegate boost! :)

100 miles. Oil/filter changed. Only 900 to go before the track day Oct 8! :) Can you say Road trip!!!

sperry 2011-09-30 10:05 AM

I wonder if that means they're working on my car now!

100_Percent_Juice 2011-09-30 03:57 PM

Haha, that's funny. I saw a flat black late 90's Impreza L wagon today. Looked good.

What breakin method are you using?

Drive it like you stole it on wastegate boost after warm up. Lots of hard acceleration and hard vacuum for the first 100mi across the RPM range.

We compared my pistons with Nick's who did a tame break-in and the difference in ring seal was substantial! We both had over 2500 miles, but mine were in much better shape.

Mine that were broken in hard had very little discoloration below the first ring and nothing below the second. Nick's had substantially more below both rings. We could probably take some pics if they are still sitting in the box beside Cory's tool box.

More or less what this page says

Changed the oil/filter at 100mi and will do so again at 1000mi.

cody 2011-10-02 04:06 PM

Cool. I'd do the same thing.

Kevin M 2011-10-02 06:14 PM

That more or less describes my break-in procedures too.

Were those mine? I tried to break my car it gently after the rebuild and I had oil consumption problems. So this time I beat on it and it's still been pulling a little down but not like before.

Saw a Aston Martin DB4 Zagoto this morning.

Is that the new Forza I saw advertised last night? It made me want to buy a 360 just for that one game. I was confused that they claimed they were showing real game play and then it was just a bunch of shots of stationary cars though.

It's real gameplay: the part of the game where you look at the cars in the showroom. :unamused:

That said, the actual driving footage looks pretty decent too. FM4 will probably keep me from having to buy a PS3 to play GT5... though I'm not happy about having to use that shitty MS racing wheel instead of my G27 because friggen Microsoft and Logitech can't come to a licensing agreement.

I hear ya. Similarly, I just bought a good knock-off usb xbox 360 controller for $11 for PC gaming. There's no good way to use PS3 controllers with PC gaming. Motionjoy makes it possible, but the analogue controls perform terribly.

Nope, we were standing in front of the shop door, and that som-bitch just cruised down Greg st. It was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous car.

Bob Danger 2011-10-03 05:34 PM

If Cory had not seen it as well I wouldn't have believed it myself.

Dean 2011-10-07 09:57 AM

I think I saw IheartSTI in his great looking Sedona Red Bugeye Sport wagon at the corner of 395 and mt. Rose highway right before the meet last night. he was southbound, turning left toward the Virginia foothills as I came off Mt. Rose heading north to the meet.

Why he wasn't going to the meet when he was 2 blocks away I don't know. :P
