Apparently, some variation was in Clerks2 and J&SB Strike Back both of which I have not bothered to watch. But it makes sense in the context of the two quotes I found, but not in this case. The Bandit, AKA Burt Reynolds was a rebel, with no respect for authority, but was basically non-violent or at minimum, not assaultive. So I am still confused, or just adding to Jonny's fail. :)

I can totally solve this in a non violent way. Get your cop buddy to run his plates, find out where he lives and go steal the plates off his car. Problem solved.
