You should have been at any ALMS event for the past few years, much less the Audi club track events I instruct at all the time... :P

It's mine, and I have only owned it for a couple of months....thought I would get chased away if I showed up in a German AWD car !!!!! From what I gather....most S4 owners cherish their cars or at least the time that they are running (the B5 platform), so showing up at the track is usually just to watch....mine, on the other-hand will get it's fair share if track-time, I figure most of the things that go wrong with them will get replaced anyways, it just sucks that if the turbo's go out.....you have to pull the engine to change it/them......:)

ARORA_808 2009-01-21 07:52 PM

AECCS.......I like, but I fear we would be the only one's in attendance, other than some dude in stead that has a URs4, that would always walk away from my Sti like it was going backwards......he claims to have had that setup since 1992, which has to say something about the German engineering.....23 PSI for 17 years and still walks away.....

MPREZIV 2009-01-22 07:36 AM

Do I wanna change a water pump on an Audi? "Short answer: Yes, with an "if." Long answer: No, with a "butt..." "

Do you know who it is? I don't recall seeing that car around or at any Audi events. 23 sounds a bit high, but wouldn't doubt it has run that long. Those 5 cylinder blocks were pretty tough.

Come to the meet. I'm driving my A4 to meets until I get a job and can fix my STI. AWE maybe All Wheel Enthusiasts...

..

that's a friend named josh if it's silver, he's running 450hp and says his turbo needs a rebuild cuz he only hits 21-22psi.. total modest dude too not in the least a "hotshot"

He should come to some Audi events. Bring him to a meet some time.

ARORA_808 2009-01-22 05:44 PM

Yeah....its a blue silver (more silver than blue) I think....I always see it early in the morning and cant really be accurate with the color....I dont know his name, I just saw him one morning after he pulled away from the STi, and I had to find out what was in the thing, and then I see him every once in a while in the morning at the 7-11 by my work, a couple of days ago I showed off the S4 to him and we had a lengthy chat about these cars and what they were capable of and he recommended a tuner shop in California..........Dean, I will try and make it to the meet, I know you are the resident Audi guru and wanted to ask questions or at least get opinions, Cory.......I was just playing, it just involves removing the intake manifold to get to it and I don't need a hoist for that, at least I hope I don't, lol.....

Was tearing up and down Mt Rose HWY Monday night @ about 9ish and saw an 04-05 Silver STi like mine.

sperry 2009-02-03 09:45 AM

I saw a Baja with ugly aftermarket wheels this morning as he drove into my lane on Rio Wrangler forcing me to slam on the brakes to keep from getting side swiped. Dude must have been half asleep and/or full retarded.

cody 2009-02-03 10:09 AM

"You never go full retard."

Arrows 2009-02-04 04:43 AM

Saw a Red Impreza on 395 @ around 6:30 last night, looked like an 04-05.

Highdesertsuby 2009-02-05 09:38 AM

I saw...

black STI yesterday evening, eastbound 80
silver GC8 RS on 395 near Stead exit
yellow GC8 RS on 395 N. Macarren exit
Cory on Vista about 2 weeks ago

sperry 2009-02-05 12:47 PM

I just saw a sweet Saab 9-3 Viggen (or Viggen replica) black on black BBS RK wheels, then a gray Aston DB9.

Not bad for driving the 2 miles between Taco Bell and IGT.

Oh, and just to keep my post on topic, I saw 622 Outbacks so far this year.

Nick Koan 2009-02-05 12:58 PM

And there are still 11 months to go!

Most of them live up in Montreux (hoity toity gated golf course community at the base of mt rose) For example. My neighbor has a Porsche Carrerra GT. Very fun car to ride in

I like my STi though, I wouldnt trade it for any other car.

Ah, I see. Don't get me wrong I love my Suby but really, no other car? Why not? I would trade my suby in a heartbeat for a Lambo, as long as it wasn't going to be my daily driver  IDK if I could trade it for anything it would be an GTR R34 Z Tune...what? I can dream...

GusGus91 2009-02-05 07:51 PM

I saw an 04 or 05 silver STi on hwy 80 west this afternoon. anybody?
