The Annual Gigantor Mt. Hamilton Meet, July 11

It's coming up! BAIC is holding it, lead by BruceLee over at I-Club:

http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthr...&page=1&pp=100

If you're planning on going, it's $20, and paypal Brucey ASAP or they won't be able to buy food for the BBQ!

One thing to note: July 11 is a Reno SCCA AutoX day at Stead, but this may be a good reason to plan on using one of your four drops, as it's usually the biggest and most fun Suby meets of the year on the West Coast!

Nick Koan 2004-05-09 07:17 PM

Correction, its $10 a head (unless you are feeling generous). PayPal to brucelee22b@ yahoo.com (remove the space).

You all should come, all us Sac kids will be there. :D

Its a great drive getting there, and a beautiful picnic spot on the top. And should be plenty of fun. ;)

Kevin M 2004-05-10 11:49 AM

I'll definitely be at Hammy. Missing an autocross sucks, but this time it will be worth it.

MattR 2004-05-10 04:16 PM

I won't make it...I've already missed one event...Have fun, I bet it's gonna be huge this year.

Kevin M 2004-06-30 02:49 PM

So... everybody that isn't going to win your class this year (meaning you can stop reading now Dean) is coming to Mt. Hammy right? Maybe come down to Sac on Saturday night for the meet to cut down the drive? Yes? Everybody PayPal and shizzle?

MattR 2004-06-30 03:00 PM

Street tire is still within reach! I'm gonna auto cross for sure...But have a great time guys, it should be insane this year;.

Goddamn I'm tempted... but so far I've got perfect AutoX attendance! Plus the whole group drive issues as of late....

grrrrmmm... lemme ponder it a bit longer... but for now I'm really looking forward to running AutoX. :(

Kevin M 2004-06-30 04:40 PM

There will be no "group drive" as far as I know. Just that you can't send 150 cars to the same parking lot without some of them being on the same road at the same time. I personally will be on site by like 8 AM though.

Nick Koan 2004-07-02 03:10 PM

t-shirt pre-order available.

ArthurS 2004-07-02 03:20 PM

Those shirts are tight! I might get one even though I won't be attending.

Scott can't afford to get caught by MIke or Tyson....

I'm out to win PAX, and I have to beat Eric a couple times for that to happen...

sybir 2004-07-06 08:17 PM

I know Nick was gonna tell you guys, but you're welcome to crash here at the I-club Hilton, Fri/Sat/whenever.

We're gonna leave here at like 8:15 Sunday morning......

JC 2004-07-07 06:09 PM

I may roll with you guys.

Kostamojen 2004-07-07 06:50 PM

Are you guys going to meet up with the EGKK caravan if you leave sunday morning? That might be the extra long route... If you want, you can hook up in my area here in Roseville and I can get you guys there.

Yeah, especially since I'm leaving wackyville at 6 AM to get down there early with Alan. :p

sperry 2004-07-08 07:48 AM

I'm trying to figure out if I can include a stop at my sister's (Sac) or at my parent's (Danville) along the way, in which case I probably won't be able to caravan the whole way. I'm also not sure if I'm going Friday or Saturday.

I'm thinking I'll either head to my sister's place Friday night, then leave there to Danville Saturday morning, then pick you guys up along 680 Sunday morning as you pass through (assuming you guys are taking 680). Or I'll just roll w/ Tyson and JC to the Hilton and stick with the group...

What's the Sac schedule? Sac Hilton Saturday night, then leave early Sunday morning? What route are you guys taking?

sybir 2004-07-08 07:51 AM

We're going down with the EGKK caravan, so we're not taking 680 (that's the majority of the group)

Beminai, Egan and Lowball are leaving a bit later (like 9) and going down 680, though, so if you wanted to meet up with them, I'm sure you could.

Or you can crash at teh Hilton with everybody else, it's gonna be crazy!
lol

Nick Koan 2004-07-08 07:53 AM

We (being everyone but Lance, Egan, Alan, Kevin and Alan) will be going the EGKK route, which goes through Stockton to get to Dave & Busters in Milpitas, bypassing 680.

Lance, Egan and Alan (bemani) should be going the 680 route.

sperry 2004-07-08 08:00 AM

So wait, lemme get this straight:

everyone but Lance, Egan, Alan, Kevin and Alan, are going with the EGKK caravan, which bypasses 680? :P

Actually another option would be for JC, Tyson and I to hit the Sac Hilton friday night and get with the craziness... then head on our own to the Bay and crash at my parent's in Danville Saturday night or something. That would make our drive to Hammy much shorter... and would give me a chance to fix mom and dad's computer so they'll stop calling me about it.

Right, except on Tuesdays, when I'm blinking, when the moon tastes like strawberries, or when a grown man satisfies a camel.

Clear?

Basically, mike, lance, and bemani are doing a direct run, and Alan (wingless wonder) and Kevin are leaving at like 6 am to go down and set up. The rest of us are takign the caravan route, down to D&B for the big meetup.

sperry 2004-07-08 09:27 AM

BTW, what's EGKK? East Gardinia Krispe Kreme?

If you guys come down tonight, please make sure you leave an available spot in front of the house for Josey (my gf).

sperry 2004-07-09 07:47 AM

Okay, here's my plan, pending Tyson and JC approval:

I think I'm gonna stick in Reno tonight... that way I'll have time to wash my car, clean up my suspension (it needs to be loosened and tightened to get rid of some clunking/bouncing), burn some CDs that I'll need to fix my sister's computer, do some laundry, and possibly see Anchorman if any of the other Reno peeps are so inclined.

I figure we leave for Sac tomorrow morning around 9 or 10 am. Then I can drop by my sister's place around noon to 2pm and get her stupid computer working. After that I'm donw for whatever... which hopefully includes sex with hot wimmenz, but I'll settle for a Natomas meet and go-karts. :P

Crash at the Sac "Hilton" Saturday night, then follow the caravan out to Hammy Sunday morning!

Don't forget to charge your radio batteries (another thing I need to do tonight) and bring sun screen!

Tyson, JC, whattya guys think?

MattR 2004-07-09 08:42 AM

That sounds like a great plan! Lets go see Anchorman tonight!

JC 2004-07-09 09:03 AM

So is it 9 or is it 10? Should work for me, I think I gonna hitch along instead of drive can I leave my ride at your place Scott? Do I need a sleeping bag for the Hilton?

JC

sybir 2004-07-09 09:04 AM

How about you meet me at my place at 9:30 and we'll leave to meet Tyson somewhere at 10, so we get into Sac around noon?

If you'd like you can leave you car in my garage, but you'll need to leave the keys w/ my roommate so he can move it into the driveway since he's planning on detailing his car this weekend.
