Autocross #10 & #11 - July 10 & 11
Street tires & STS/STX/STU run in the morning both Saturday & Sunday = opportunity for Run No Points in the afterrnoons. Seat time!
In another thread there was an idea for an afternoon challenge. My SCCA Speed GT windshield banner is still up for grabs; any other ideas? |
Oh sure... have a window banner challenge when Tyson and I will be gone. :P
..not that I've got any room for another window banner. |
RNP only in the afternoon? How much is it? How late they usually run?
|
RNP can be done in the morning too, if you are not concerned about class points.

I didn;t sign up at Myautoevents this time, because my new class is not listed. I'm going to be running NESP now, and it's not listed. Any suggestions? Wait till morning of? |

NAS= .802 NESP= .798 |

That car should not be allowed in ESP.
|
Matt,
When MAE comes back I'll have a look at the class listings. Yeah, NESP, pretty clever. |

I bet Austin would beat you, but it'd be close! Dammit, Austin, you need to drag your ass up here for an event before the season's over! |

Watch out, the OT post Nazi is around... :D Better get this back on-topic...
I plan on driving very well this weekend at the autocross... Whew, just in time... |

Fun! 2 laps, enduro-style. You really had to stay focused to run it right.
Too bad our afternoon RNP's didn't count, I can't wait to see the scoring to see how much better it was. |
OMG! I had a blast on that course, it was one of my fvorites so far this year. yeah Deb, I wish I could've put down my best RNP time in the morning... :x I would have probably paxed in the top 5...Oh well, we shall see tommorrow...
On a side note, Looks like I won street tire today...even though I'm under protest for having the STI in NESP  Too bad I did my homework, that's not gonna get "them" anywhere... |
Yeah Matt - you ran awesome this afternoon!! And so did Pat R!
I thought I did awesome by taking off 2.5 seconds from the morning runs. That was until I learned I had a cone on every run. |
Sunday == best course evAr. The high speed sweeping turns off the start and the long straights into each slalom were great. I had a great time racing today, especially when I managed to finally crack 50 secs on the last rnp run in the afternoon ... now I am only 2.5 seconds behind you guys
|
Agreed, today's course was another winner, I loved both courses this weekend. Too bad I feel I drove poorly today, I just could not squeeze out the times needed. Need more practice! I feel it was all mental errors, the car felt great, although I was at the top of 2nd and bottom of 3rd a lot ( ) I feel I was losing time grabbing 3rd in spots.
Mike,I was impressed with your runs this afternoon, you are really starting to push that car hard...it's awesome to see.. |
Thanks, I drove much better today than yesterday. I don't think there has been a race weekend yet where I felt I did well both days. I can wait until the next race, by then I should have harnesses, new brake pads and oil, and (finally) a rear swaybar
|
You're new sig sums it all up!
 |

OMFG!!!!   hahahaha!
That is awesome! You have way too much free time on your hands.... What is that, an S2000 club meeting? Don't fault me, someone has to defeat the GStock Army and F Stock Cheater cars... |

So is Mike's Sig!!!  I love the recounting of Mike's run with the model-cousin-of-Paul-from-Denmark in the navigator's seat - and of course, needing to show her how to snap the seatbelt!  |
Great weekend...
Results are up, but Eric hasn't approved my yahoo post... |
Sweet...Saturday's results were favorable  Nice work on 3rd there Pat. G Stock Army goes down.,..

Yeah, Sunday wasn't so good. I blame Inga from Sweden for distracting us from the task at hand.
It's hard to concentrate on driving when you're walking around like this:  |

"Matt lied, Pax died!"
Holy crap that was great... Coming back to my earlier thread hijack, I'm back from WSIR... the car we were running won AIX on Saturday! Then the car's motor blew up on Sunday midway through the race... distributor coming apart + simultaneously having the upper radiator hose come off & lose all the coolant = b0rked. The nicest thing about the whole weekend was getting to work with a really experienced driver, Ross Murray. He's driven lots of different sports cars, World Challenge races, & Trans-Am cars. 8) |
