Apr 23/24 AutoX #1 & 2 - Roll Call

Who's coming, what class / numbers are you running? (alphabet soup time).

Also -- for those of you who changed your class or car number this year -- have you 'applied' for permanent numbers from our Registration Chief Teri Geck? (If you haven't let's just remember to do so this weekend.)

dknv - tbd (still holding my breath for my car - if its done, I'll be either
BSL 88 or TBSL 88)

Dean 2005-04-21 02:10 PM

Rain may play a part this weekend. T & ST folks may rule.

Dean - STX

Kevin M 2005-04-21 02:10 PM

Didn't you already buy hoosiers Debbie?

Nick Koan 2005-04-21 02:12 PM

Will be there as TDS. I have an 8, 6 and a 2 already cut for me, so hopefully I can make a workable D Stock number out of those digits.

I did -- but -- assuming the miracle pulls through, and my car is done by Friday night - I've been trying to figure out my strategy for breaking them in without wearing them out before the Atwater national tour event the following weekend ......

Kevin M 2005-04-21 02:19 PM

Well, if Pat can come through for me in time, I'll be running 19 TDSP instead of TSM. Turns out the mod I thought kicked me to SM (clutch/flywheel) is SP legal, and everything else seems to check out. Yay me, now I'm almost competitive.

Debbie- if we run in the morning, maybe a day of RNP on the hoosiers in the afternoon?

Masking tape class letters are acceptable...

Kevin M 2005-04-21 02:38 PM

True. How badly will T&S moan about me using the blue (and only) masking tape I have?

I'm shopping for some hot pink tape tonight I think.

Dean 2005-04-21 03:04 PM

White maybe... Just don't try and get annual tech with tape numbers...

Pat R. 2005-04-21 03:30 PM

I'm there.

Your DSP shouldn't be a problem, Kevin.
I'm not sure I can match the font exactly though.

MattR 2005-04-21 03:38 PM

#41 TSM

Pink and angry.

MattR 2005-04-21 03:40 PM

As event chair, I'd like to report that I have all the water and flour in case anyone cares.

Also, it looks like we will have some precip at least on Saturday...should be interesting.

Oh, god. I think I just figured it out. You should be AWeD by his performance.

Damn Dean, we really need to instate a pun tax if you are going to be saying stuff like this and Sigfree M Roy.

dknv 2005-04-22 02:07 PM

He's on a roll now.

We'll just have to be careful about letting him handle any announcing duties this weekend.

Now wait a minute... Every word in these sentences appears in the dictionary, and they are both grammatically and syntactically correct. "Nobody owns me or the Jews. Civil and World wars have been fought over talk like that. " Only capitalization is in question for "World" or "war" depending on if you believe it should be 'World War' or 'world war'.

I don't believe either of these words is even in the dictionary. "ownz joo." I was forced to use the closest phonetic equivalents, owns, and Jew or You. In either case, slavery is illegal in at least these United States, so the possibility of RWD owning either myself, or any Jew is unlikely and illegal. Civil wars have certainly been fought over slavery, and we won't even get into Jewish persecution and the wars related to it.

So for whom do we need an interpreter?

While I am not of the Jewish faith, I know many who are.

I was mainly curious as to why we should "be [all wheel drive] by your performance"

AtomicLabMonkey 2005-04-22 02:31 PM

I really feel for you guys if he's the one announcing at your autocrosses. :alien:
