That's some nice exhaust routing...

Am I the only one who cringes at all those bends? Who can guess the car?

JC 2005-11-01 06:57 PM

Just trying to think of all the FWD cars with fake dual exhaust.

Kevin M 2005-11-02 02:34 AM

So, to sum up so far-

It's front wheel drive.
It's not Japanese.
It's not an SRT4.
It looks like 3" piping, so it is likely a forced induction car.
Zero road grime under the car- must be an '05 or '06 model.

Saturn Ion Redline or Cobalt SS? PT Cruiser Turbo doesn't have IRS. Ford has no FWD forced induction. If it's european it must be a turbo Jetta/Beetle/Gti/A4/TT, but I'm sticking with Ion Redline as my guess at this point...

Sue me. The answer was in the image name.

That's the 1st thing I checked!

How'd you get Tiburon out of "dcexypipe0oi.jpg"? I get the "ypipe" part, but dcex is way too non-specific for me to figure out. Hell, even if I knew the ex was for "exhaust", I still would have never picked "Tiburon" specifically!

Easy. The image name didnt refer to the car make, but rather the maker of the cat-back. dcexypipe0oi= DC Sports exhaust Y-pipe. Then I went to the DC Sports website and through the process of elimination and this (http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43737) product review, I got my answer.

Kevin M 2005-11-03 02:23 AM

Purely speculative conclusions are much mroe fun than actually working to get the answer though. :p
