Brian, I didn't know you had a GSP...those are great dogs...I grew up with Labs, and now I have three friends (well, 4 counting you) with GSP's and I really like them. I have no pets of my own right now, but my Girlfriend has a big yellow lab named Jack, and a GSP named Sage, and I spend a lot of time with them.

Jager is actually my second GSP. The first one I got was back when I was 15, about 12 years ago. His name was Jake, he is pretty old now. My parents at first would not let me get him. So he spent a year at my brother's house before I could convince them to let me have him. Ironically, once I moved out and went to Collage they kept him for me. The fell in love with him so much they wouldn't let me have him back. My mother then started doing GSP rescue work down in Calaveras County, she now has my old dog, and another one named Charlie. She has been through 3 rescued GSP's that I know of. One went to my older brother, his name is Buddy. I don't have a picture of him. But my dog Jager and Buddy work very well together. They both pointed two Chukar for my brother, unfortunately I was 150 yards away. The chukar flushed for my brother, but it was still a beautiful sight to see. A double point, with a successful kill.

Anyway, here is a picture of Jager at 4 months old last Jan. My brother took him up to Orovada on the last weekend of the season. I couldn't go, due to breaking my leg a few days earlier. DAMN :( Once my leg was better, I bought the STi. So, that leads me full circle to where I am right now. BS'ing with internet buddies.

Sweet...I've really grown to love GSP's, they're such great dogs. Those guys are great looking.

At any rate, this is the closest thing I have to a pet now. We did have a couple of dogs when I was a kid, though.

Murphy's got the best pet. I've met that thing... it's not "medium sized". Unless you're still counting the dinosaurs in the sizing scale. That fucker is like 3 feet long! :lol: Oh and it hisses at anyone but Chris... fucking sweet. :lol:

Yep, Chaz goes in for a bi-monthly fluff and cut. I even take her running with me sometimes when it's cool out.

My basis for comparison was something like a Komodo Dragon, but I suppose that's unfair to the "little" guy ;)

Scott is was over a meter long when I let my friend take him. The pics that I posted was it comming to me by hand commands..I also was able to get him to eat mice from my hand. One snap and they were gone.

I wonder if lizard tastes like chicken... ;)
