4st of july plans?

Who's doing what on Tuesday?

JonnydaJibba 2006-06-28 10:08 AM

Hangin out at Nevada Beach with the gee eff. Fireworks are sweet up there. Check it out.

dknv 2006-06-28 10:19 AM

I hope we don't have t-showers.
Watching fireworks at the lake is awesome, but the traffic out of there is horrible. I can't spare the time to be getting home at midnight.

MikeK 2006-06-28 10:31 AM

I will be celebrating America's victory over having to work that day

Yeah, tell me about it. Last year I was working on teh 4th, and since monday was a holiday, my sunday route was run on monday. I had to drive from Incline to Truckee at dusk. :(

dknv 2006-06-28 10:59 AM

Sparks Marina has some happenings on the 4th, and this year:
"... Each year, a special theme is incorporated into the day’s events. This year, visitors are encouraged to dress up as a favorite pirate or beach bum character".

Who's up for dressing up like Jack Sparrow?

MPREZIV 2006-06-28 11:06 AM

I'll likely be not doing much at all. Probably seeing if I can re-mount my harnesses, higher up to the shoulder, but in a workable and strong location.

I've got to work on Monday, then Wednesday, so there'll be nothing fun for me...

My guess would be several hundred people.

DARKSTI 2006-06-28 11:36 AM

Probably just going and taking pics of fireworks,my car etc...

NevadaSTi 2006-06-28 11:38 AM

I got compted into the Edgewood / Caesars party last year. Which is directly infront of the barge that they use to shoot the fireworks off up at the lake. Hopefully, I can get into something along the same line this year.

Since I work at the Tahoe Key Marino, I am hoping my boss has a bitchen hookup.

Seriously. Although I am half tempted to show up dressed as a ninja instead.

sti deede 2006-06-28 12:12 PM

I know where there's a sweet shop that sells ninja clothes in Reno if your serious. ;)

Kevin M 2006-06-28 12:18 PM

Nah, way too much effort for someone likeme. :p

sti deede 2006-06-28 01:35 PM

4th I'll stay home and relax, but on the 3rd Josh and I were invited out to Skimonkey30's parent's in Napa to watch the fireworks and party. :) Woot!

khail19 2006-06-28 02:34 PM

I'm on vacation all next week, going to be in San Juan Capistrano for the 4th. I've never been there, all I know is they have birds that live in cliffs or something.

Kevin M 2006-06-28 02:48 PM

Don't miss the salmon either. ;)

Double Phister 2006-06-28 07:23 PM

Why doesn't anyone call it Independence Day like it's supposed to?

Merry December 25th!

Kevin M 2006-06-28 07:50 PM

Because we haven't banded together in the spirit of international cooperation to defeat the eveil alien invaders yet. Duh.

Damn it. I knew I shouldn't have come back from the moon. I was getting thirsty though.

We had plans to hang out with my wifes father (it's his bday) in Folsom. I just found out this morning that Folsom has banned all personal fireworks because they don't want to scare the animals in the zoo.

Pat R. 2006-06-29 08:21 AM

We'll be blocking off the parking lot here at the shop and enjoying the Nugget's show.
BYOB and show up around 8!

Scott, you going up to Wildwood as usual?

I left a message for Glen saying we wouldn't be there but haven't heard back from him.

Wildwood is looking like a bye year...

Everyone just got back from somewhere (me Montreal, Glen and the rest were in Europe for World Cup), so no one's really looking to make a long trip out there. Kent and Christy aren't coming, Swa's only gonna be there for the weekend, I'm going to just drop by for a few hours on my way to the Bay at best. I think there are only like 7 people confirmed, and not all of them will be there through the 4th!

tysonK 2006-06-30 05:02 PM

Am I the only one working Monday?

I am also required to wear red, white, and blue of some sort. fuck me.

Kevin M 2006-06-30 05:07 PM

I will be at work, but I dunno if I'd call it "working," Bob. Depends on how many of the engineers show up.

Nick Koan 2006-06-30 05:07 PM

I have to work on Monday, but I don't have to wear Red, White and Blue. Damn.

tysonK 2006-06-30 05:13 PM

kevin can you change your avatar.

Kevin M 2006-06-30 05:48 PM

Okay.

tysonK 2006-06-30 05:52 PM

I hate to say it but that is better.

Kevin M 2006-06-30 05:53 PM

Sorry Dr. Forrester was weirding you out man.

tysonK 2006-06-30 06:54 PM

MattR 2006-06-30 07:01 PM
